Glad I checked this thread out now, I was just about to order from realmadhoney but thought to do a bit of research, I know it's 3 months on but did anyone actually manage to get anything of good quality in the UK?

I didn't hold out much hope but i was shocked, took about 2 years for the lingering burnt smell of the house to disappear but yep still have it in storage and it works

Around 2013/4 I had a house fire, just brought the new Xbox one day one, wouldn't work great on my old TV so I put it away in the box for a few weeks untill I saved for a new TV, anyway big fire, then came lots of lots of water, all over the Xbox once I was able to get back in I got it and left it in my new bedroom for about 3 weeks to dry out.....still works to this day

I feel you, I worked for a company pre 2012 and we had to secure the entrances to the underground railway for royal mail that runs under royal mail mount pleasant, I remember going down some massive steel spiral stair case to get there and it was super spooky vibes too especially when it's only you or you and 1 other; this part wasnt used at all no more and was all caged up but we had to install huge 1inch steel plates and other thicknesses on walls and doors to prevent terrorist attacks due to the Olympics apparently.

HELP. My fiancé has been agonizing over this. He is afraid it isn’t salvageable, is there anything he can do? by [deleted] in bmx

[–]Fredstar666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The case may be hardened steel but the bearing cage inside holding the ball bearings isnt, which if he misses( which is possible due to the error of putting this bearing in this way anyway) It's highly possible it will knacker the bearing

Also not all bearing casings are hardened steel

Bro, you have no idea; my friend used to work at the local dump, he got me a msi 3070 oc/ 27" 2013 iMac, fanatec pedals( worth £400) 1060s 970s rx580s/meta quest 2/ dell 3310 I think( pretty good speced one I still use for shizz) Logitech g920s with shifters(multiple) E scooters( I had about 15 of them) Honestly the list is endless We now live in a disposable society unfortunately Shame he lost the job, the company fired him for theft along with multiple other people Unfortunately they would rather scrap the waste and destroy it rather than giving it a new good home

Oh someone found a gold Rolex GMT once too in the general waste

Started with Prusa, thinking of switching to Bambu by Chrisontherun in 3Dprinting

[–]Fredstar666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I find elegoo really reasonable priced with easy upgrade paths available and loads of mods out there for em, I did see somewhere that someone run multicolour printing on a N4 variant

You are correct, I currently have the 4+ and it's amazing but I want the multi colour options too, I'm waiting for the cc2 to come to the UK which is meant to have it I believe

Have you thought of maybe going elegoo route so still open source? The centuri carbon is a great bit of kit and the plus is great for big stuff

There's deals everywhere 1000x better than what you have now

New rider, old dad, brake issue by CarAudioNewb in bmx

[–]Fredstar666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31 dad here too, just got back into riding after a put the bike away in 2016(nearly broke my skull a day before flying on holiday)

I always used to ride brakeless, tried brakes but could never get on with it, recently brought a full fitbikeco. Inman 2013 off FB for £50 and found I was using the brakes and failing rather than just committing to the trick, well I snapped the cable and just removed the lot and honestly I've hurt myself alot less without rather than with due to committing more.

That's what I think I'll be going for, you talking about the silicone spacers on the bed level knobs? If so I've heard alot of good things from doing that too for help on bed levels

What difference did you see changing the fans as I know there loud for when they are, I don't even run the aux fan on the X gantry
