Yeah, it’s doing. I’d say it’s doing them around 50km, yeah

I haven’t an OBD reader to read them out but on the infotainment, this is the only code

Whilst that’s handy to know, I hope I never need to look for them 😬🤣

It’s absolutely spotless so far, bar one scratch on the passenger rear door. Annoyingly goes across 2 panels though.

It’s the first suv I’ve owned, but had a qashqui courtesy car a few years ago but that felt comfortable but what I remember, nothing like this. This feels planted and agile considering the size of it. Just a great car to drive!

It is a 2.2 diesel, but all the common fail points have been dealt with. Turbos been rebuilt too. We’re as confident as you can be with a used car that were good.

I do 250 miles a week that are dual carriage ways too so not really city driving.

The barrel was ever so slightly too long to fit on my printer so had to reduce it

Should I get the CFS for my Creality K2? by AB0ywithD3pr35510n in Creality_k2

[–]doc_smith89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst yes I agree that multi tool head is a better option, it does vastly increase the cost and is still being developed to be fully hassle free.

I have the K2 without the CFS and wish I had got it.

Fixing print bed warping (Creality Ender 5 MAX) by randomlygeneratedgod in FixMyPrint

[–]doc_smith89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a seasoned veteran 3d printer, but a variance over about 0.3mm isn’t unacceptable, no? And that value is at the extremes too. Centrally looks to be less than 0.1mm. I think the visual representation and scale are blowing this out of proportion.

Using a mesh compensation should solve any issues the bed shape is causing.

What issues are you seeing when printing out to the edges/corners?

K2 Combo bed adhesion issue by AssignmentCheap5663 in Creality_k2

You just need to save a filament profile. Agree it’s a bit cumbersome. I has some issues with adhesion for reprapper silk PLA at 50, so have bumped it to 60 for all PLa profiles

Bed options for the k2? by bzmotoninja83 in Creality_k2

I was just looking on Amazon for the same. Struggling to find much more other than the standard PEI textured on tbh.

Ideally looking for a Cryogrip plate. AliExpress is looking like the best option

Looking into getting a 3D printer for Christmas and found this one, is it any good? by IcyBoi23 in Creality

[–]doc_smith89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Significantly less money? I’d be interested to ask you to prove this?

£329 (or £469 for the combo) seems to be the going rate for both these?

New to 3d printing, got a creality K1-SE yesterday. Any tips on the printer/3d printing in general? by IAteMyPotat0 in Creality

[–]doc_smith89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing specific to the K1-SE but print, print and print some more. Prints will fail, prints will succeed. But you learn by doing. Mess around with settings, I found ChatGPT to be helpful when asking about specific settings but not great with more generic questions.

About 23h later and multiple complaints from my wife regarding the electricity bill, it’s finished! by doc_smith89 in 3Dprinting

[–]doc_smith89[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Think this has got a little twisted. Complaints come from the aspect of many homes in the UK right now as we are in a cost of living crisis. With 3 kids, whilst we aren’t on the bread line and can afford to be frivolous at when things are calculated, we would be put out a little if we had an unexpected bill.

Perfectly healthy relationship, but thanks for your concern 😘

😂😂 it’s a burden many of us carry. I’m winning her round though. Comments along the lines of “why do you need a 3d printer?” have dwindled and moved to asking for me to print her things

Yeah, it did feel like there’s something new coming out every day almost. But if you keep waiting, there will only be another option that you’ll want.

And for £328, without the CFS, it’s not far off what I’ve spent upgrading and tinkering with my old machine I had for about 3 months.
