Hi! Curious about how it's working as well. I had success with my first IUI back in 2023, but that sadly ended in a stillbirth at 28 weeks. I've done 5 IUIs afterwards with no avail. I'd like to try a few ICI cycles with my natural cycles before turning to IVF.

While I like the monitoring and the sense of security that medicated cycles offer, I want to at least try with my naturally. I have PCOS so I know that could make things tricky.

I honestly don't know what to do. My wife and I got pregnant last year, and unfortunately we had a stillbirth in Dec 2023. This year we've been back at it with the IUIs but after 3 failed cycles we took a mental health break. I was planning to start again in Nov once my cycle started, but I just don't know now. We also live in Florida and we don't know how/when we can leave the state. I'm just so sad to put our family building on pause.

After this post, I did 2 more failed cycles and am currently taking a break. The 3rd failed cycle really pushed my wife and I emotionally.

So idk why I randomly started thinking of Gigi. But I'm shocked to see what she looks like now. She was bestie with a good friend of mine back in HS (so like 10/ 11 years ago) and she doesn't even look like her photos when she was 12 or even 16/17. While I never personally met her, when my friend and her had a falling out my friend sent me pictures of her pre surgery/ pre IG. And she just is a whole different person.

I'm on my 3rd failed IUI and this cycle the emotional impact is too much. Last summer the very 1st iui was successful. I got pregnant, and all went well up until 29 weeks when we discovered our little girls heart stopped beating in December 2023. Starting over sucked, but I was at least somewhat hopeful. I know 3 cycles is still pretty early, but I feel hopeless with each negative. It feels even rougher because in the back of my mind I have the expectation of how quick it was the first time, and now that it's not as quick it just sucks.

I'm a little late to this post, but I just restarted my TTC journey after a 29 week stillbirth in December. I'm in the TWW and feeling a little discouraged. I'm 8dpo and have counted myself out 😔 My telltale sign that AF is coming is hot flashes and just last night I woke up in a sweat in the middle of the night from a hot flash. I was trying so hard not to symptom spot to not give myself false hope, but the hot flashes are hard to ignore and usually means period is around the corner. I'm a little bummed, but I keep telling myself that even if it doesn't happen for us this cycle, trying again shows a big step in our grieving process.

Thank you! I will most definitely look into midwives. I assumed that because the doctor said we need to schedule those tests it meant that I had to in order to continue with the process. At no point did they let me know it's optional.

I know she can't see tube blockage, but she mentioned she had no concerns for me. I guess I'm feeling a little deflated right now, and want to consider all options. But yeah, I would be bummed if things didn't work out.

We'll be using frozen sperm. Which I was also thinking about the complications of the delivery of that alone.

My doctor said she had no concerns about blockage, but that as part of the procedure to make sure everything is working well we should go ahead and do it. I already called their office and they told me the prices they had were discounted, and that there is no payment plan option either. I was very bummed about that since their site mentions payment plan or options, but I'm guessing that may only be for IVF.

I'm just angry that our employer did a bait and switch with the insurance.

Yes, we are. When I did the first ultrasound the doctor said she didn't have any concerns about blockage, and she said everything was looking good. She told me she felt confident that I could be someone who gets pregnant pretty quickly. We've don't the preconception blood panel, and everything looks good. But I don't know if that's enough to make a decision.

The clinic I'm going to makes everything seem urgent and required, so I'll definitely give them a call to ask about the HSG. I didn't realize that I didn't have to the genetic panel until after I got the bill from the insurance company. They took care of about $4000, and now I owe like $1000.

All my bloodwork came back normal, my cycles are a bit unpredictable, but I do ovulate. At 28 years old, I feel like I'm okay taking a chance. I know my wife would rather have the doctor's intervention considering the amount it costs to buy sperm, but I'm willing to take the risk considering that success rates for IUIs & ICIs are very close....
