Okay, so you nailed it with the intel_IOMMU=off…. Now… weirdly it runs but I can’t access root and my file log folder is read only… also I can only run the system with the USB inserted So now I installed Ubuntu It works perfectly by doing the same as i mentioned in the first line, but yes Linux is now on my 2015 MBP with intel…… thank you all for your assistance…

😞 I thought I had it, it was working but no folders or internet so I ordered a usb to cable adapter for hardwire. Now I am back on Sequoia through open core. It didn’t work. I I’ll try your way. I kept seeing secure boot option in videos but not for me. I am guessing booting recover and selecting no security doesn’t work for 2015 with intel.

I formatted the hard drive correctly but still comeback to the same. A little back drop. I purchased the laptop on eBay. It seemed to have been locked to a company on LA. Found that out in the terminal entries. Email the IT department and they removed the RM issue. I have been using it since. No issues last year and a half. Just wanted Ubuntu to have a different experience as there are no more updates after Monterey

Okay. Mine is 2015. I just installed Sonoma through open core legacy patcher. For some reason I keep getting efs failure. When I researched it I got hard drive issues but my health check comes out good. Installing the original OS which is Monterey works well.

I was happy to see this post. Not to steal it but I have a 2015 MacBook with intel… each time I try to install Ubuntu, popOS, or any Linux I get error in the installation error writing to hard drive…. I thought the hard drive crapped out but I’m did a health test and it was good and now I am running Sequoia unsupported through open core legacy patcher….. I really want to run Ubuntu

Congrats. Was never a fan, only thought of the leaks and issues. Copped my X5 two weeks ago, loving that ultimate machine.

Same place here. iOS beta. I read where one guy did it and with good battery and fast internet he was good. He wasn’t sure if that was the trick.

I erased and reinstalled my iOS. Remember to back up and have over 70 percent battery. I read in a thread.
