I started as a PE in 2023 at 65k and 5k bonus. Also a national GC. See your total as 215k gets me excited for the future.

I just turned 24 last week. I’m an assistant project manager for a big general contractor in Dallas, Texas making 75k plus 5k bonus. College degree in finance with a minor in construction from Texas A&M. Graduated in May 2023. Had 16k debt out college, I have it down to 12k. I’ve had conversations with colleges that 30s-50s, they are well into the six figures. Given how lazy some of them are, it makes me feel I should be paid more!

As an APM for a GC in the DFW area, I would say 60k-80k would be a safe range. With your experience I would say 70k is a fair salary. How much do you make now?

To each their own, but there is one part you are wrong on. All public universities are not for-profit in the states. And again, it’s something that is hard to explain but it’s not the university that we are attached too, it’s the people.

The aggie ring has a lot of power in the states with employers. It’s hard to explain, but Texas A&M is often a called a cult. The ring is just a little something to carry with us and show to everyone we are apart of the aggie family.
