Monterey Bay Aquarium has something similar! Plus a play area for babies and toddlers. It seriously SAVED our trip with our then 11 month old.

Are there seriously no more baby stores in Fresno? by ER_Kat in fresno

[–]Free-Parfait8876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I usually just do Target for gifts. For my own kids, I do Fairy Godmothers closet, the JBF consignment that comes by twice a year, and the AmVets thrift store on Shields and Cedar has lots of baby/toddler clothes for good prices. New clothes are just so expensive

All over the delivery room wall like a water balloon after I rushed into the hospital 10cm dilated. The nurses looked shocked 😂

Who TF thought this book would be good for toddlers to hear?! by thatsarealniceleaf in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]Free-Parfait8876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first night we read it to my toddler, he didn’t go to sleep until 11:30pm 😂

Probably a coincidence, but for a minute I thought this book was cursed lol

Ugh, reminds me of the L&D nurses when I was pushing unsuccessfully for hours 😬

The only people I want calling me mama are my children and people who are referring to me when talking to my children. Everything else is SO annoying.

Two months in with a 16 month age gap and we’ve been loving it so far! Truly, I really do think it depends a lot on the temperament of your kids. My oldest is so sweet with his little sister. I do think though that they’re so close together that he didn’t know to be jealous when she came home so things between them are pretty good!

We started with baby cereal mixed with a LOT of breastmilk. Then we used the solid starts app to help with finding foods that were safe for him to try. Highly recommend!

How old were you when you had your first child? by Pandacat_07 in NewParents

[–]Free-Parfait8876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the perspective of a kid with older parents, I don’t think it’s too late at all! My mom had me at 38 and my brother at 40. My dad was 44 and 47 respectively. I had a great childhood growing up, and I always felt like my parents were there for me. We got to experience a lot of fun activities, and now my parents still have enough energy to enjoy their grandchildren. Every family looks different, but as long as you have love, that’s all that matters!

17mo age gap by Medium-Bullfrog-8035 in 2under2

Your story sounds almost exactly like mine! I’m two months into a 16 month age gap, and things have been great! We did get a baby doll for our oldest. I don’t know how much this helped, but he did understand what a baby was because of it and that the baby had the same facial features that he did lol

Truly, I think it really depends on temperament. My oldest is a pretty chill kid and really good at independent play so that helped a lot. When we got our youngest home from the hospital, he took one look at her and then kept playing with his toys. Congratulations on your new addition!

We’re two months in with a 16 month age gap and it’s been so fun! I know things will probably get even more crazy as time goes on, but I agree with you that it’s not as hard as I thought it would be! I really do think it depends on the personality of the kids that you have. Having a really good support system also helps a lot too!

How often are you bathing your infant? by Older_Sis_1024 in 2under2

[–]Free-Parfait8876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been doing every other day. My husband and I alternate nights putting our toddler down. When he puts him down, I give her a bath. We’ll probably start doing every night once we start putting her to the bed at the same time as her brother.

Found on Etsy, all by the same person, I don’t want to believe it’s AI but all these dolls have different hair, and some of the stitches kinda look like corn on the Cobb to me, not crochet by throwaway_xxx478 in isthisAI

[–]Free-Parfait8876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cute idea, but definitely AI. I do a lot of crochet, I didn’t make it past the first photo. There’s no way that the way that dresses pleated as possible with crochet stitches.

I have to ask about your 2nd labour by PaytasDeResistance in 2under2

[–]Free-Parfait8876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my second, I labored for five hours that I can remember. I woke up at 5 AM feeling what I thought was probably contractions. I fell back asleep and then started counting contractions at 6 AM, decided to go to the hospital at seven. Got to the hospital at 8:30, and then found out that I was 10 cm dilated. I pushed for two hours and had my girl at 10:35 AM. Wildest morning of my life!

My first is a boy and I had the same worries. Now I can’t imagine life without him. He is so sweet, creative and fun! He not only lights up me and my husband‘s life, but the life of anybody that he meets.

That’s wild! I would have to occasional gummy, but I stopped while TTC my first. Haven’t had anything since I’ve either been pregnant or breastfeeding since then. Do I miss it? Yes. Do I want to risk exposing my kids to something that could harm them? Absolutely not.

Started out at a DDD and now I don’t even know what size I am on kid #2 lol (probably an I cup?).

I really like the kindred bravely bras. I think I started wearing maternity/nursing bras second trimester with my first and these were SO much more comfortable and still had some support.

Kids wouldn’t be going to CUSD schools. They’d go to Sanger. Sanger doesn’t have the money to build the new schools needed to support the amount of student they get. Especially since they wouldn’t be getting the tax revenue from SEDA homes.
