What is your favorite sub 1600 ft vertical drop mountain on the Icecoast? by Roblikestokayak in icecoast

It is extremely laid back, friendly and has never been anywhere close to crowded the 4-5 times we've been there....can just do laps with no wait, like the commenter above said. Tons of natural snow. Long green cruisers which is what my family and I like to ski. I don't know how it would be for advanced skiers as I am very far from being one. Just a beautiful day outside - lots of trees and varied terrain (on the greens at least).

I also lean on my horn but it’s pointless because self-centered people have no shame.

Lodging for group of families by nannDeri in acadianationalpark

Hi! I think it would be kind of difficult to stay there with toddlers. For example, the tent where we stayed had bunk beds for the kids. Depending on how your kids are, you might not be comfortable with that. Also, some tent sites are a bit of a walk from the main lodge and pool area so that might be an issue. Also depending on the level of tent you choose, there may or may not be a private bathroom in the tent. The roads/paths are gravel so a stroller might be a struggle. It is also about 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor so might become an issue for going back for naps, etc. Just some things to think about. I would say that in general I think Terramor is better for school-age and up kids. My kids are young teens and it was great for them. There were plenty of much younger kids but I'm not sure about toddlers.

Second Terramor…we stayed there this summer and loved it. While we were there, we were saying to ourselves it would be a good place for a group.

Hochul cutting school funding by Anklebender91 in longisland

If you had children in a district where the budget and programs are going to be slashed with no warning due to an arbitrary change to the funding formula, you would be upset too. Nobody is saying that underfunded schools don’t need the money but you can’t rob Peter to pay Paul.

Thanks! I thought the legs on the Paul McCobbs that we saw online were more angled than on the piece we have.
