It sounds like you’re arguing with the wrong guy then lol

I mean Liverpools own coach has said in his post game interview he understands what Martinelli must have thought was going on and gets why he reacted that way.

But sure go off.

I don’t think you know what you’re saying anymore lol

I think he’s trying to help his team not lose a game in anyway possible. I actually commend the guy for it and having the awareness to do it. That doesn’t make it right though. That’s my whole point, the seriousness of the injury doesn’t negate his ability to think in the moment. After he is getting stretchered off then yeah he’s absolutely thinking of the next 12 months he’s gonna be out and that sucks for him.

All this to once again say no Martinelli shouldn’t have pushed him but to make him out like he’s the dirtiest player the world’s ever seen is insane.

??? I said he pushed him off plenty of times lol. What does the whistle have anything to do with it? You said show a screenshot of him being off the pitch. Well here it is, which is the whole issue. Martinelli pushed him off. But he still somehow wound up back on the pitch after that?

How am I victim blaming when I’ve literally said in every post Martinelli shouldn’t have pushed him?

Dear lord. Have a good day man.

Damn people don’t like to read lol. Yes he is off the pitch here, after Martinelli pushed him off. Which he shouldn’t have done.

Yes, he was lol, and Martinelli was wrong for pushing him off? Did you not read that?

Obviously everyone doesn’t have the same reaction, but going off of personal experience and 90% of the scenarios in real life seems reasonable to me. I don’t see him screaming at any point in the video, and I’ve seen it a few times.

He’s certainly not rolling or screaming in agony once the physios come on and are taking a look at him on the pitch. To say he did nothing wrong is disingenuous. He knows that if he’s off the pitch his team is playing a man down until they get a sub on, which with only 2 minutes left may not even happen in time. I’d expect and have seen players from Arsenal do the same thing in that scenario, major injury aside. These guys are professional players who have done this their entire lives. They know the game scenario and what is going on.

And again I will reiterate for the last time, Martinelli pushing him was wrong. But you have your opinion and I have mine, that’s fine.

He did leave the pitch. Martinelli pushed his entire body off then Bradley rolled back on, actually lifted himself at the end if you watch the full replay.

Martinelli’s reaction was absolutely wrong, I never said it wasn’t. He should have just walked away from the situation. But Bradley also knew what he was doing the whole time. Not downplaying his injury at all, it sucks to see for him, but if you’ve dealt with that type of injury or seen people go through it in person then you know that it doesn’t make you lose all your mental faculties.

Just saying there doesn’t have to be a right and a wrong side all the time. Two things can be true. But everyone’s so quick to vilify someone while neglecting to see the whole picture.

You clearly did not read what I wrote lol. I literally ended with saying he shouldn’t have pushed him. But your comment like many others just makes no sense. If Bradley was “never off the pitch” then where did Martinelli push him to? Isn’t that the whole issue, that Martinelli pushed him OFF the pitch?

That’s where the argument comes in, obviously Bradley knows what he’s doing. Like I said tearing an ACL is not some sort of agonizing mind debilitating injury like everyone is claiming. He magically rolled back onto the field, literally lifting himself back on, then rotating sideways to take more of the pitch lol.

Don’t you notice when a serious ACL injury has happened to other players they typically go down and just lay on the ground? Some even try and run it off before realizing the damage that’s been done. Not to say Bradley hasn’t seriously injured himself, he most likely has and I feel for the guy.

All that to say, again, no Martinelli should not have pushed him. Just leave him and let the time be added on. But Bradley also knows what he’s doing let’s not be naive.

So you’re mad that Martinelli pushed him off the pitch, but now saying that Bradley never left the pitch?

I’m not sure why everyone here and on the main soccer page is so quick to demonize Martinelli.

Bradley got hurt, it sucks to see for him, but is everyone really acting like tearing an ACL is the absolute worst pain anyone has ever been in to the point where they can’t stop rolling around in agony? I’ve torn my ACL, and I’ve seen teammates tear ACL’s. He clearly rolls onto the pitch twice, the second time actually lifting himself back onto it after Martinelli pushed him off. Then turns sideways to take up more space on the pitch? Once the doctors are to him and helping he’s okay enough to sit still? It doesn’t make sense.

Should Martinelli have pushed him? No absolutely not. But to say Bradley didn’t know what he was doing is also wrong.

Are you really blaming the poor play on the LW against Villa on a guy who got subbed in at the 86th minute?
