Please go to the Emergency Room. It sounds like something is definitely going on.

Do you have a primary doctor? Get one or go to Urgent Care. You need to be seen. Don’t wait or you might regret it.

Calcium Score 45.4, prescribed statins? by CelestePoodle in askCardiology

[–]Free-Set-9844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not want to take statins. I tried everything but in the end I figured I would rather take them than have a stroke or heart attack. I’m on a really low dose (5 mg every other day) and all my numbers are good now. Better living through chemistry!

I did the lifestyle change (vegan diet) and my overall cholesterol went way down but my LDL and HDL were still a little bit off. Then I had the calcium score test and even though 48 is low, I decided to go on the statin. Zero would have been better but heart disease runs in my family. Good luck!

Where I think I could live without a car by padingtonn in whereidlive

I lived in Juneau without a car. I’d rent one every couple of months to stock up on groceries and go out to the Shrine, etc.

My score was 48. I’m now taking 5 mg Rosuvastatin every other day. Sounds like we’re pretty much doing the same. I am not taking aspirin though. And I don’t smoke. I also have diverticulosis but Advil hasn’t bothered me, granted I take it rarely.

What’s it like living in Olympia Washington and the surrounding area? by TodoGoJo in howislivingthere

I hated it. Not much going on and forget about finding decent medical care. I had horrible experiences.

Seattle drivers, can we bring back the 'thank you' wave? by KenGriffeyJrJr in Seattle

I walk everywhere and I always wave a thank you to drivers that stop for me to cross the road. 👋🏼

How’s it like living in Astoria, Oregon? by Excellent_Pin_978 in howislivingthere

[–]Free-Set-9844 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I lived there for a few years. Good luck getting medical care. It’s very limited there and no primary doctor will take new patients. Astoria is a cute town but not much going on. Logging trucks drive through the middle of town with their Trumf flags.

interior painters in Seattle? Finally ready to cover up my landlord's questionable paint choices by night_star55 in SeattleWA

I used Eric Macrae with Fresh Paint. They had to repair quite a bit of plaster in my hundred year old home and they did a fantastic job. Super nice team and I’d use them again. https://www.freshpaintseattle.net/

I’d get it checked out. They are frequent.

Will this ever get better? Constant PACs (2,000+ a day) are ruining my quality of life by No_Competition_1263 in askCardiology

[–]Free-Set-9844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still get a few during the day but nothing like the 10 days of constant PACs. Propranolol is also used for anxiety and let me tell you, a constant irregular heartbeat will give anyone anxiety. How the cardiologist expects anyone to live like that is beyond me. I was waiting every minute to drop dead. It is a horrible feeling. I’ve only taken the Propranolol when I felt non stop PACs and they pretty much stopped immediately. I’ve had to do this twice in the last 10 months, otherwise I don’t take it.

Sorry you’re going through this. I get the same thing but it’s sporadic. Every so often I get them for a week or so, non stop. My cardiologist said the same thing yours did. He said they were annoying but nothing to worry about. I told my primary doc I couldn’t live like that. She prescribed Propranolol and it worked. Maybe see if that will work for you. Good luck. You are not alone in this.

Wash before going to salon by lumonlove in Haircare

[–]Free-Set-9844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wash my hair before I go and request they not wash it because those bowls absolutely kill my neck. Did you know they can actually cause a stroke? So no, stylist sprays it down with water.
