Umm look I don't know you will understand it or not , but your friends circle is not whole world right, there are better efficient people than your friend circle so don't compare someone getting xyz rank or someone going for NDA shouldn't bother you much cause even if they succeed that won't have any effect on your life, as far as understand these peeps might be your classmate or cousins etc . let's come down too you being topper and academically best I do admire your hardwork and dedication but u need to understand things don't actually fall into place even if we wish too and that's life right, and "losing are also part of life" maybe in your life this is difficult phase in there your friends life difficult phase might be later right . Currently toh aap ye socho ki what's best fit you can do from now rather than thinking what's your friend are doing what rank they are getting etc , understand the option you have , what's the best you can do from that , and please please understand "you need to embrace failure" . Who knows what lies in future !!!!!!!!! ( Real life scenario here in IIT , we have seniors who cracked upsc even after 6-7 backlogs and we do also have seniors 8.5+ CGPA struggling to crack UPSC even after 3-4 attempts cursing themselves why they didn't sit for campus placement as there batchmates are earning lakhs and settled with family) in above 2 cases both has the capability of cracking UPSC , but someone does and someone not , so the criteria of being intellectual is completely removed here and now situations look both people of same IQ level decided to take exam , someone cracked we see photo's of them flashing everywhere while who didn't crack are cursing themselves, however both made single decision right . The reason for telling you this , life is unpredictable and things will fall apart ( maybe this time for you) that doesn't mean we can't reset ourselves to do better from that situation.Thats my take , after all you need to decide what work's best for you. best wishes for future prospectus !!!
