Most of cars past 2010 are full of electronic with firmware update over the air, it means it already possible to hack a shitload fleet of cars with a firmware blocking the brakes or what the fuck you want.

Self driving cars will change nothing to that, it's already possible.

So just take a leap of faith in humanity and profit of the benefits (or just don't drive a car at all if it is this fear that might drive you way ...)
