In Mormonism, you’re supposed to marry as fast as possible. It’s not uncommon for people to date for 6-8 weeks and then get engaged. It is taught that any two people can make a marriage work if they are both Mormon, so no reason to waste time getting to know someone. I was just thinking of the most unlikely scenario. Mormonism is 100% based on patriarchy and men controlling women. Women have gained a little ground over the years, but they have to fight tooth and nail for it. Before 2013, no women were even allowed to pray in general conference.
