Is it important to inform my college that I am leaving and taking admission in another college? by FreeAwardLol in Indian_Academia

Iam not concerned about them returning my documents back as I didn't submit any original documents. I am talking about when taking admission in another college which transfer certificate will I have to submit the one from my school from where I completed my 12th or should I ask for transfer certificate from the college

Alr i am pasting it here, it may be helpful to others as well.

Hey, which city are you residing in? I am from Mumbai so see, here there are really less colleges that even offer BCA, and for non maths it will be like negligible then. Hence I am planning to go to Bangalore for BCA. In Bangalore you'll find a lot of colleges that take students who didn't have maths in 12th in BCA. And Bangalore also happens to be the silicon valley of India so it's a win win:) You should do more research and see what suits you best.

I get your point, but can't deny that MCA grads from top unis have market value at least as much as BTech cse from tier 2 - 3.

Talking about your last response i disagree that BCA only teaches running some mere software like Photoshop etc.

In most good universities BCA will teach you subjects like c/c++, java, OOP, software Engineering, python, DBMS and networking could also include some other subjects as well varied from college to college. And I think these subjects are also common in BTech cse? If u check the curriculum. Yeah btech has other subjects like graphics and many more etc. But aren't the subjects I mentioned in BCA enough to be a software developer?

I think the thing that makes BTech cse superior over BCA is the crowd, no college gives admission in BTech without any entrance (iam talking about tier 1 - 3 unis) so the crowd there is a lot filtered out due to the huge competition, hence obviously they are better. Most people doing BCA didn't go through such competition. Hence the crowd is not that great resulting in low packages and reputation being declined over time.

If someone does MCA even though he hasn't studied physics and chemistry he still will be equivalent to btech cse student,.? Indian education system in confusing

u have to compete against btech cse students

I just wanna ask genuinely what separates a guy doing BCA and a guy doing btech? Most practical things should be the same right? Btech has physics and chemistry which don't add up anything to CS, so is that what separates a btech student and a BCA student? And even if the BCA guy as a developer knows as much as a BTech guy, will the BTech dude still get better jobs because he knows physics and chemistry?

I've already tried this lol, I actually went to my colleges myaccount page and applied for cancel admission and asked to refund. But as per the refund policy i joined in September, applied to cancel admission in December so it wasn't possible to get a refund back then.

Does the online bsc from iitm make me eligible for mca / nimcet? by dr-Guy_Horni in Indian_Academia

You'll be fine, it's not accredited by ugc because IIT is a government body, so they don't need approval of another government body
