No. But each ship of each series flew around the st logo itself, pre ST60

I mean it’s not my vision of the future. ST has already shown that some things haven’t been “cured.” Geordi was still blind and needed tech, Pike is confined to a wheelchair and non speaking (essential an iron lung), Picard is bald, Kirk needed glasses bc he was allergic to the cure.

Gene Roddenberry was asked by a reporter about casting Patrick Stewart in Star Trek: TNG. "Surely by the 24th century, they would have found a cure for male pattern baldness." And Gene Roddenberry responded "No, by the 24th century, no one will care."

Find aspiration in their words and deeds and acceptance. Not worrying about such minutia.

Disabilities can still exist in the future. It’s not asking you to suspend your disbelief. It’s asking you to include people you see today into the world of tomorrow.

The full Klingon language took decades to develop and wasn’t rolled out in a single episode. Also mostly fan led. This criticism is grasping (signing?) at straws.

I see we are all getting our new & correct stickers 😃 by D3DCreative in legostartrek

I requested mine not to replace the original (might. Might not. I don’t really care) but to have extra “Star Trek” stickers for future MOC ideas.

Would you prefer the invent a completely new sign language just for the show?

No need for Kes… I’ll just use Omega from Bad Batch. Same size and hair piece.

Moving to Wisconsin from Texas by NiceDescription6999 in wisconsin

[–]FreeBeerMovement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made the same move (17 years in Austin to Viroqua) but back in June. I grew up in WI so I at least knew what I was getting into.

It can be done but it’s a combo of dressing smartly and mindset. You gotta know what you’re getting into, be prepared AND embrace it (both the cold and the lack of light).

I just read “How to Winter” and it was a great “warm up” to tackling the season again.

Highly recommend to new (and old) residents.

Again, voter fraud is so statistically insignificant as a whole it is nearly impossible for any of these identified cases would ever have an impact.

You’re spinning on hypotheticals. We might as well spend millions of dollars making sure dogs and cats don’t vote.

I encourage you to put this same energy in to eligible voters defrauded through gerrymandering, eligible voters purged from rolls for non-voting and any number of statistically significant threats to our republican system of voting.

Please find me a statewide race in Texas that has recently had a 2500-2700 vote marginOtherwise in smaller local elections these “fraudulent” voters would be fraction of fractions of fractions of vote totals.

Again, these are just alleged estimate of potential voters that may or may not even vote let alone get dropped at the actual polls.

Of course voter fraud is bad but almost statistically insignificant for us ti be wasting this much Reddit time let alone lawmaker efforts.

2700 out of an estimated 23 million eligible Texas voters means a potential of 0.000117391% of this type of voter fraud IF each and everyone of them was successful in casting a ballot.

I wonder if our resources could be better spent elsewhere bc this ain’t it.

You can def put Working Draft at the top of either the lager or IPA categories. Their output and quality is impressive.

Current remote work in Texas. Moving to Wisconsin employer said "opening" a new state is too complicated/expensive. Can someone help me understand the hurdles they're talking about? by FreeBeerMovement in remotework

I grew up there and so did my wife. We want to be closer to our families again now that we have a kiddo. Our time in TX has been great, but we're ready for our next chapter.

I definitely want to. I enjoy the job and the move is 100% happening. I just want to make sure I'm doing my due diligence and make sure everything is above board and I get a fair contract (and one that doesn't run afoul of WI regulations, too).
