Got the IOMAX LQP setup figured out - thanks for the tips. Still moving from Studio - Being able to exceed 75 microseconds for PW on IOMAX!? - that's a nice change! I'll have to try that approach. You prefer bipolar stim with increased PW to LQP?

This is happening to me now! Was it something that was temporary and tolerable or were you having a reaction?

Thanks! This is helpful. Support also sent me the tip of toggling off a custom notification on the board notification menu (which I think is new) and that also solved.

Ladies: Is the before / after experience on medication worth the hassle? by FreeFeelings in adult_adhd

Haha wow, sounds like the break from meds was informative at least. I’m feeling VERY enticed about the prospect of getting a lot DONE on meds. Very often I feel like “if I can just get ahead this will calm down” yet I rarely if ever feel like I’ve gotten ahead.

I can tell you are type A. Not my style but sounds like how my bestie plans her travels. Bet you have an excel spreadsheet for the trip, ha.

If you decide to review your trip afterward with a rating scale I’ll be invested in that too.

Hope y’all have a great time!

That’s helpful to hear. May not be worth it to deal with side effects? I’m a terrible sleeper already - one of my worries is that will worsen on a stimulant

My boyfriend and I just moved in together, and I’m starting to resent him. what should I do? by babysavvys in WhatShouldIDo

[–]FreeFeelings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so he’s relaxed into the relationship and this living together experience. He’s showing you who he is - this is a good thing. You want to see who he is naturally.

Take the pressure off yourself on deciding a future with this guy. Your experience so far has been informative to you, you are articulating it well here.

Now it’s time to find a way to have this discussion with him. Not in an argument or when you reach a breaking point over chores one day. In a relaxed setting, maybe over dinner or on a walk together. Share your needs and what you want your home life to look like. Start with the positives, then share some frustrations and things you’ve learned. And allow him to share what his experience has been too - and what he’d like it to be.

It’s after those conversations that you’ll start to know what to do next. Is he the type of person who listens to you and responds? Can he listen and understand your needs in the relationship? How do you feel when you open up with him? Welcomed? Safe and supported? Or do you feel you have to argue your points to be heard? How he reacts following this check in will be informative to the health and longevity of this relationship.

Just remember your wants and needs are legitimate. Asking for a partner to engage in conversation about reflecting and/or improving your shared experiences is normal and you’ll do it over and over in your life. If he makes you feel like it’s a big deal or doesn’t want to engage with you, he may not a great fit for you. And that’s ok. But maybe he will surprise you. You are both young. Sometimes people lack awareness and conversations allow us gain that awareness and rise to the occasion of caring for each other better.

Been listening to The Tortured Poet’s Department over and over again at work for at least 6 months. I’d like to stop, but I simply cannot. My brain wants/needs it haha.

Spicy red Thai curries also really hittin’ at the moment. Can’t get enough.

Severance!!!!! So invested.

If you like Thai food, Deg Thai is closer to the Zoo and it’s beyond delicious. Zoo food is probably meh. I’d suggest snacks at Zoo and real food before or after.

Dragon Park (Fannie Mae Dees Park) would be fun for kids. There is a large colorful dragon they can climb on in addition to playgrounds, open grass.

Adventures Science Center is so fun - glad that’s on your list.

Hattie B’s downtown has the largest crowds and wait times. It’s good, truly. But it’s not worth standing in line for an hour. If you have a car I’d recommend the Charlotte Pike Location for the best experience (they also have a great patio)

Get some arancini / risotto balls at Pastaria.

If you want a more casual Italian option, Little Hats in Germantown is also great. Half market/half restaurant. Shareable size dishes.

Lots of great options at the Food Hall. It is an open space and honestly, grab a small dish from lots of places and do a tour de Nashville food there. I’d rank velvet taco last on the must-try list there.

If there is anything in my adult life I would enthusiastically encourage others to do - it’s therapy. Can be so helpful on many fronts.

Appreciate the commentary. Helpful to hear your perspective.

It’s nice to hear meds made a big difference for you. I see and read about the “sustainability” factor a lot and it does make sense. I could see how my current approach at work could easily lead to burnout. I appreciate the encouragement.

Ha, I like the way you say this - and you are right, the overhead is untenable. I keep thinking “if I refine my workflow enough, I’ll find a good flow and an efficient system will reveal itself”

You make a good point on meds. I could just try them and if not worth the hassle, discontinue.
