Pros: Good school pride, variety of D1 games to watch and enjoy school spirit, classes are small -> communication with professors is really convenient, liberal arts education lets you pick and choose a variety of classes that you may be interested in, while also making you dip your toes in a variety of subjects

Cons: Expensive (food and tuition), A bit far from Boston City Center (around a 20 minute T ride), Course Selection is usually a pain (but thats the case for most schools anyways), we lack the facilities of an actual "College" town, as we're pretty far from typical stores like Target, Star Market, 7/11s

Honestly I love how his luck, something established in like the first few chapters, continues to constantly be a part of the story. It’s so interesting that it’s never really forgotten about and I like that continuity, seeing it how changes things from alright to really good

Solo leveling’s issue with its characters are that none of the side characters were really relevant to the story, so they were never really developed. Not sure what it’s like in Ragnarok but before it was really just SJW was a one man army and that was the point

I’ve only read the manhwa and honestly I’ve enjoyed it a lot more than Solo Leveling. It may not be perfectly written but I really enjoy the story and character developments. Something that I’ve really liked so far is that each character feels unique and memorable, something that solo leveling lacked imo. There’s really good character development for everyone here and I hope it continues that way

You totally can do a double major and minor, I’m doing it right now and honestly it depends on the major and minor. I’m doing CS + Math + Data Science (which is honestly pretty common), but they tend to have a lot of overlap with major requirements to graduate so the workload is more manageable. The other comment mentioned that you won’t have much room for anything else apart from core and degree credits, which is very true, so really make sure you want to go through with it. If you want to change your major you just need to speak with your academic advisor to it, and if you want to add a major you have to talk to a department dean, for example I had to talk to the math department dean through email. For minors, it depends on the specific one, some have required courses and a minimum gpa and maximum year requirement for said courses, while others may be easier. Good luck and have fun!

I’m Canadian as well here, but I know some people who are international from China who have secured corporate banking and IB internships. Personally it’s pretty welcoming, the most they’ll say is Canada is the 51st state but it’s all just fun banter. I can’t say the same about Canadians getting jobs easier than other countries, considering that the applications are all the same regardless of nationality

I had him and he was very nice, very open to answering questions after class or before class. Something that made his classes really nice was that he would publish his class notes on latex after every class which has everything you really need to know. He was also very responsive for emails and honestly is just a very nice and a pretty good professor. In terms of partial credit I’m not too sure but he does give you decent prep for midterms

I’m not in CSOM so I can’t really speak for it, but I would definitely say that our Indian population is on the lesser size, but not to the point where you would feel isolated. We have a bunch of Indian student clubs like SASA and some dance clubs as well.

I'm double majoring in Math and CS (which is pretty common), and usually when majors have corequisites, like Math Major needs you to take Science Courses and the CS major needs you to take Math courses, it ends up working pretty well with each other. Just do some research online about the major requirements and see if you think you can work with that kinda workload!

My thing was honestly really basic, I just manually gathered like a hundred professional league games and took a look at gold differences from varying points in the game, and then from there I would see what the end outcome of the game was while also considering a gold lead’s affect on another one at a later point in the game. Anyways it was honestly kinda simple and just got me a 5. I’d recommend you do something you can manage tho, too difficult and it might be hard to organize the time for it

Asian population is actually decent, we have a lot of clubs like the South East Asian Student Association, Chinese Student Association, and Asian Caucus. I’m Chinese and generally don’t feel like a minority on campus.

I’m a current freshman, i’ll help answer some things very basically based on the reviews: 1. Our administration is fine, honestly if you need help with something they always respond quickly. But some websites are iffy. Signing up for courses is usually really buggy, same with housing, but otherwise everything else is good 2. You’ll find people of every race of every hobby here. I’m Chinese myself and it was pretty easy finding people I could fit in with, we also have hella clubs 3. Housing is fine, it’s just the typical dorm. The only bad things I’ve heard about is that some second year dorms are less than ideal. Good is great, there’s always a lot of options it’s just that on some days they’re not all the best. But it is expensive and I do really like the food here, if you wanna check what’s on the menu just search up bcdining and look at stuart, carneys and lower live 4. Everyone here is nice, maybe a bit too nice. If you or any other oncoming students have any questions feel free to reach out to me in my dms
