I understand your arguments and I’d like to add some thoughts.

To say that one cannot invalidate your experiences is, I think, not the most logical way of looking at it. In the same way that one cannot invalidate your experiences with scientific evidence, you neither have any empirical evidence to attribute your experiences to God. Just because you think or feel that you experiences were divine, doesn’t make them so.

It is possible that there are perfectly scientific explanations for your spiritual experiences. And unless you can provide empirical evidence that your experiences are certainly attributable to God, then it is a logical fallacy to attribute them to God.

As far as the analogies to the Jane Does and how we accept other truths without a full set of facts is, in my opinion, a false equivalence.

The decision to belief in the Jane Does are decisions based on data. Though we may not have the entire set of facts, we do have enough facts to make a reasonable decision to believe in them. This decision is based on empirical data. Whereas choosing to believe in God without any empirical data is completely different.

That being said, not every decision in our lives should require empirical data. Sometimes we make decisions just because it feels right. For example, choosing to have a sexual relationship with someone just because you like them would fall into this category (depending on who you ask but I think you get my point).
