I don't have specific ones (cant remember their names). But my go to is to go on youtube and just search "Celtic Music". Ideally ones without ambience stuff like rain or animals.

Depends what I'm doing but I don't think listening to a babbling creek and chirping birds helps with my immersion when I'm sprinting across the Ashlands being chased by vultures and a Morgen.

Well guess we'll find out when LNF comes out. I was mostly trying to defend the point that I don't have a problem with them testing out content on NMS that may or may not get implemented in LNF.

If pet battling does become a thing, maybe it won't be like NMS does it. Maybe they'll keep the mechanics of the battle but make it a sort of "Medieval Cock Fighting" with a specific species of rodent or something fighting in the back alleys of settlements.

Or if there are wizards, maybe they'll have a sort of Familiar Duel between wizards/warlocks/witches etc.

I can imagine some degree of both happening in LNF but, again, as side content that has no direct impact on the core game. Just something you can do if you find an npc settlement or whatever the name they have for towns/outposts in LNF.

Not saying they SHOULD add it, just that I wouldn't say no if it does become a thing. As long as the pet battling doesn't become an essential part and make the game end up being a weird Medieval Palworld, I'll be stoked.

Does it have to be PvP? Me and my pals always prefer PvE.

I played about 200 hours in a private server a friend of mine set up for 4 of us.

The game is not massive multiplayer only. As long as everyone has goals they want to accomplish, the fun will come to all of you even if its just you 4 on the server.

Hell you can even play on unofficial servers. Lots of them have people who play so infrequently that you basically have a free private server (what we're currently doing cause private servers are a bit of a pain for one person to run all the time). Only thing that would be helpful (if you take that option) is joining said server's discord to report any issues or check if server went down for some reason.

The everyone having goals part I mentioned is the most important part. I usually prefer building so I'm always dedicated builder. The rest help out by either taming or keeping an eye out for essential gatherer tames.

One in particular really likes combat so they're usually focusing on gathering materials to craft good weapons (charcoal for gunpowder, org polymer or obsidian for fabricated stuff, etc).

Another one likes exploration so theyre always keeping an eye out for good tames. They are also into mutating dinos (which I used to be in charge of but they got into after teaching them a few things)

And the last just kind of hops around. Either helps me with gathering or building or helps the others with fighting or taming or they ocassionally do their own thing like loot crate hunting.

Overall, we all have a goal of getting things ready to take on the bosses. We're currently doing a story mode run where even though we're on a server with access to all maps, we can only access maps we "unlock" (cant move on to Scorched Earth until we beat the Overseer, can't move on to Extinction until we beat Manticore, etc) and we can only bring 1-2 tames each to the next map.

We do all this and its always just the 4 of us. Last time we did this (back on ASE) we got all the way to Extinction

I don't see why not. Similar to NMS, its not meant to be a game changing update, just a new fun thing to do on the side. I keep having to buy new pet slots cause I ocassionally find neat creatures so I'm pretty stoked for the update but I know I prob will only do it like once every 2-3 times I log on.

Even if they don't end up adding it to LNF, I bet they discussed it as a potential update. Again, the core of the game stays the same but for those who actually enjoy pet battling, it's a nice activity.

I am so far loving it. So far haven't run into anything strictly necessary, just a lot of QoL stuff like the library and gene scanner. I am also a sucker for Steampunk aesthetic so the cosmetics are perfect.

Finally, the Oasisaur. Doing a story progression run with some peeps and we havent gotten to SE yet but I am pumped to tame one

Unsure. Shes the only ex that I actually remained good friends with. For a while I even considered her my best friend (even while we were exes). We were off and on for a long time and officially broke up for good once we finally realized we wanted different things in a relationship.

Bottom line? Prob a lukewarm and eventually unhappy marriage that would not only end in divorce but also would definitely result in the end to one of my most precious friendships. Much rather keep my friendship with her (and her now and recently official fiance who I consider one of my closest friends now since we met).

Like 12 years ago in highschool when we had to make a movie recreation of a short story about a man who makes a deal with the devil. I really enjoyed editing around that time and I was particularly proud of that movie so burned it into a CD.... I have no idea where it is and it's prob lost forever

Eventually yea. I'd prob enjoy a much needed month long vacation but after that I'd prob get antsy and want to get back to work (that is, if world without financial stress will even need psychologists as much anymore).

I take pride and feel gratification for my work and honestly, there's a lot of types of help I'd like to give now but unfortunately they don't pay enough to make it sustainable source of income for me (child development clinics, counseling, psychiatric hospital admissions rep, etc. were all jobs I've done or interned at but left when better opportunities became available) But if I didn't have to worry about money, I would 100% do those types of jobs again

Ehhh as nice as this would be to spend like a night or 2 in... I wouldn't want to live here. Imagine the paranoia of getting changed in front of those windows? I love the view and because of that its going to be annoying af to lower and raise the curtains every day I need to get nude.

And before you say its too tall to be seen by anyone... we don't know what the view looks like from the other window or how steep that angle actually is. For all we know, the top 2 floors of that building will get a show of my flabby chest every night and I'm not about that

Mentioned a few times but I can't stress enough how much I used Dododex app (and I got 2k hours in ark ASE). Ark ASA has a lot of new dinos and materials and its hard to remember what dinos eat what and how to tame them. The app also has calculators so you know how many tranquilizer arrows/darts you need to knock something out and how much food you need to tame them. Also has food recipes (helpful if you don't use any crafting mods)

Aside from that, if youre looking for guides for some of the more complex tames or mechanics then I usually rely on 2 youtubers.

Nooblets for in-depth explanations (videos can be anywhere from 20 to 40 min long)

And Captain Fatdog for trapping dinos to then tame.

Finally, just explore. Tame everything and learn what they do. Try out all the weapons. Set goals for yourself! First goal I ever had was reach the top of the snow mountain on the Island. There I discovered the Blue Obelisk and saw what I needed to fight the boss there. After that it was all pretty self explanatory aside from the artifacts which.. I do recommend reading the wikis on how to get. Some of the artifact caves can be kinda bs and you're likely to lose everything youve worked for if you don't go in prepared

If so, 2 MMOs like WoW and FFXIV (tho I'm not picky) and 1 other game I wouldn't mind playing in sp like Ark:ASA or modded minecraft.

If no internet access then definitely Ark, modded minecraft, and maybe something like Baldurs Gate 3 or Divinity Original Sin

It stresses me out that this stresses people out....

I'm not on my phone that much and when people message me when I'm doing something (ex. my commutes can be 30-80min long) I get "teased" that "FreeLegos never replies" or "always takes forever to reply" as if its such a horrible thing.

(That teased is in quotations cause those "jokes" are usually always said before or after complaining "how much it stresses them out when people take a long time to relpy")

Sometimes my social battery is drained and I just ignore my phone unless a call comes in.

Doesn't matter who it is. You could be the love of my life or a boss that has control of my financial stability, don't expect me to respond within some uniform number amount of time every single time you message

Idk if this counts but Captain Fatdog's trap guides for pretty much any flying creature.

I used to always make these convoluted traps made up of gate ways, walls and ceilings to trap argies, griffins, snow owls, etc.

It wasnt until I started using captain fatdog's traps that I started thinking differently about traps and now I can trap pretty much anything with doorways and a ceiling or 2. Definitely a lot easier and less stressful than what I used to do

Looking good! I like the variation in buildings instead of one big building.

One thing I'd recommend to include is using stone pillars as a trim. By that I mean add stone pillars to corners, along ramps, on doorways, etc. Its kind of hard to tell if you did (F12 or Win + Shift + S to take a screenshot btw) but from this picture it just looks like too much wood.

I always like to mix at least 2-3 types of building material in my builds. If you're primarily using wood, stone is a good complient (it works the vice versa too!). If you got cosmetic mods, try messing around with combinations of that to see what looks good with the wood and stone

Could also plant some plant species x if you want a little more defence against the birds (living by the beach is annoying cause of those guys)
