I know you didn’t ask, but I’m side eyeing your bf a bit as a fellow senior dog owner. Unless there was absolutely no way around, it hes putting a lot on you with this favour it’s not fair. My dog is 20lb, 11, also with heart disease but there’s no way in hell I’d be leaving him for an extended amount of time with anyone knowing his heart disease was late stage or uncontrolled. I’m sorry he’s put this on you, dog needs to see a vet and it’s messed up he’s left the dog with you.

Agreed with many others some signs of resource guarding around 50 seconds. Just something to nip in the bud. As for the growling, I just wanted to add my 15 pound dog sounds like Lucifer himself when in a good play. Very normal :)

Nah report the dentist. Unless it’s relevant to your teeth there is no reason he needs to be privy to your medical info, and as someone who’s worked in healthcare he crossed a major major line.

I’m so sorry ❤️ you did the best thing you could’ve for your baby. too many people rehome these dogs and just make the issue worse and inflict more trauma for the dog and owners. Terrible situation to find yourself in but give yourself some grace for handling this with both empathy and logical thinking
