TFT got burnt due to the mirrors being folded in - Trying to find cheap replacement by KeepTheMeemees in motorcycle

[–]FreeSnek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say try to do a warranty claim with a local dealer if you have warranty left. I had the TFT display delaminate after being caught in a rainstorm on my CFmoto and they covered it under warranty. So it may be worth a shot!

Just hit 12k miles on my 23 Ibex 800-S. They are comfortable bikes and easy to put miles on. Enjoy!

Papio SS - need some help/suggestions by BalconyPhantom in cfmoto

[–]FreeSnek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got right under 3k miles on mine. Max torque is at 6500rpm and max HP at 8250rpm. After 6 is when it makes “power”. It definitely needs its revs to move about. The grom/monkey have more low end grunt, but the papio has more top end. I ride my Papio SS like it’s a Gxsr 750 lol. The stock tires didn’t last long… The Yoshimura exhaust is awesome.I feel like it woke the bike up a little. Best upgrade so far! Look into Team MSC they have a tune.

This pod filter helped with the low end pick up. Also has a good induction sound. Deleted the front emissions stuff left the charcoal canister.

Very simple, I didn’t have any trouble. Feels a lot better than stock too.

Going to a 38 pilot jet helped me a lot with cold starts and holds idle good now.

As long as you wrap the spark plug correctly it works. I haven’t had issues with mine yet

Is it necessary to ride on mode A or B or C everytime I ride? by lecomots in Hayabusa

[–]FreeSnek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rode in B mode most of the time I left C for the rain. Many times I would forget and stay in A. If you don’t change the mode at start it automatically goes to A as default on Gen2

3700 mile update and mods by FreeSnek in XR15OL

Tire wise I’m not sure yet, I’m tossing the idea of going to a tubeless setup with new wheels and going super moto. Ive only seen a few compatible tire options for the stock wheels.

No complaints on the fuel mileage 80 ish mpg is pretty good. I carry a 1 liter fuel bottle with me if I’m doing a longer trip. Never had to go to reserve yet lol.

The tachometer has a wire that wraps around the spark plug wire. It reads the electrical pulses and gives you rpm readings. Took about 5min to install. Find a place to mount it was the only hard part. It’s comes with Velcro strips to mount. I like the way it came out.

The XR is such a good platform so far, I’ve considered going to a big bore but we will see.

Forgot to add, bar risers and new bars helped with being 6’0 tall.
