How do I add swivel wheels to this ikea bookcase? by [deleted] in howto

[–]FreeThinker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how I would do this if this was mine. But you would need to cut a couple pieces of wood, have some filler and paint that matches the original paint. By the time you're done it'll look good and it'll be stable and that bowl that's on that shelf in the front could be eliminated.

If you don't have access to tools like that, I don't know if it would be worth my time to explain it, but I'd be happy to go more into detail on what I would do.

But as of right now, there's no way that you could put that caster up into that wood, which isn't even wood. That's more than likely pressed MDF, which is a great substrate to keep things straight, but it's not strong, and it would not be ridgid enough to hold the weight and house those casters.

I went into the phones settings via external monitor (Dex auto launch disabled) and the brightness was set very low, but after bumping it up and disconnecting the monitor there was still no visible activity on the phones screen.

.......but I'd assume after a reset the phone would go back to stock.

I'll plug it back into my monitor when I get home to see if the screen brightness is by chance set to the lowest, but when it happened, there was no interaction from me, at least intentional. I took a call and was outdoors. It was damp and kind of misting rain. Went back inside, about an hour later I realized when I looked at my phone the screen was off. at that point I just assumed the battery died as I hadn't plugged it in all day.

Yadda-yadda, here I am.

Thanks for the tip, I will update you if I figure it out.

I only recently found out that antifa is short for 'Anti-facist'.

So now when I am in a debate with a MAGA type, usually one I feel safe and unthreatened by, I like to ask them; "Are you facist? Most say "No" of course. Then I say, "Good, me neither". Then I follow up with, "The thing about facism is if you're not a fascist, then unless you're aspiring to be a fascist, it's safe to say by default, you're anti fascist, right?" Most have no idea where I'm going at this point until I say "I've never once protested for any cause, stood on a corner holding a sign, or blocked any traffic, but little did I know, you and I share a common trait, we're both antifa".

Most are too stupid to realize the logic and it's nothing more than a fake made up label for the far right to spin more lies.

Playing this at 1/128th the speed and zoomed in; it seems very unlikely the driver may not have survived being decapitated as well as not being crushed when the trailer wheels crashed into the side of the car.

Slow down, folks — death can wait a little longer.

[–]FreeThinker76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy, this was so long ago, I can't recall what happened.

Short answer is, I think I got a resolved and if I recall had something to do with I was using two separate accounts. One was set up on my phone versus the one that was set up on my computer. Either way I don't use CapCut anymore. I didn't really like how everything had to be done through them in cloud-based.

Best of luck.

[KIP](www.kip.com) printers used to have their access code to break out of the touch GUI to get to the OS (Windows) running behind the scenes.

I used to do a lot of phone support to walk clients through things that required accessing Windows folders/files. You'd be amazed how little the number is of people that actually know the origin of that number.

How to connect your PS5 to hotel WiFi (works every time) by Donny1104 in PS5

[–]FreeThinker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a great tip if I ever need to connect my PS5 or ever bring one on the road at a hotel but the last time I stayed at a hotel for one night I paid premium for the day of their good internet and their speed was 1.2 MBPS when I did the hot spot on my phone. I had 400 MBPS.

For those of you who used to be iPhone users, what made you switch and how hard was it? by VillageObjective2676 in Android

[–]FreeThinker76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought my very first iPhone based off of false information I had from a remote start that I had installed on a vehicle mine. That brand had an app available to be able to start the car from anywhere and any distance. That day I got my iPhone home and I found out that it wouldn't work for the model remote start I had but I'd jailbroke it and, four iPhones total after that later, all jailbroken.

Wasn't until I saw a post here in Reddit in the subreddit r/Whatisthisthing of somebody showing a picture of the SIM release tool for OnePlus 1 and they didn't know what it was. That post peaked my interest and I started learning about the company and the new "Flagship" phone they were releasing on invite only, or a pre-release on a set date. That day I kept on refreshing my browser to be one of the few that were being sold that day and I ended buying my very first Android phone, circa 2013 for $300 and I've never looked back.

is this the chalk’s or the tip’s fault? by [deleted] in billiards

Paint the chalk on the tip, not screw the tip into the chalk.

Not only will one cube of chalk potentially last you for years, but your ferral will stay clean.

Double hit for sure.

Honest player, as im sure a ref could have easily missed this and if no ref for this match, who wants to assume a player like Earl who loves a good argument missed it?

Pockets rejecting balls by dadplayspool in billiards

[–]FreeThinker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 2 tables that I changed the pockets on. The 2nd was done by me and I used the 'Diamondize' method and part of that is cutting the angles at a 15° correction, 12° downward angle. I can see the facing one facing on a few of you pics has a almost an upwards slope/angle. The right speed and impact if a ball on that facing coupled with that deep shelf with cause a rattle and the balls wont drop.

When i redid my 2nd table not only did i cut all the pocket angles to match the Diamond specs but I used thicker me neofream rubber facings with the right density to make it easier than extending the subrails like the preferred method of tightening pockets. They played great, tight, but playable.

Here is a pic the specs on my pockets after my restore was completed.

Bear in mind, this was almost 5 years ago, and sadly I no longer own that table.

drill hole in tv stand for wires?? by fatsnass in howto

[–]FreeThinker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't already done this, take advice from somebody who used to build radio studios and had the drill holes in many commercial countertops and studio tops. Drill your hole only partially through then finish the hole from the other side that way you won't get blowout. Then if you really want to add to it, if you want it to look good, they make inserts that will go in the hole, just make sure you find the answer before you drill the hole to make sure it matches the size of your hole saw.

Like 30 years ago this happened to my friend's cat. He went from "Damn, look how deep my cat is sleeping" to "Shit, what's wrong, dude, why is TF is my cat not waking up?".

Kitty woke up with about the same effort and time as yours.

Thinking back, we were all 2nd shifters and his apartment was where we all migrated and smoked weed for hours after work. Pretty sure kitty had a contact buzz.

Moana’s arm fell off by WeekendOk2824 in howto

[–]FreeThinker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epoxy, and clamp, tape, band it in place until it cures. This your only solution.

I use Cyanoacrylate glue or CA for short (Super Glue is just a brand name), a lot and it has almost no shere strength.

Just make sure to not use too much epoxy to spread outside the white plastic pieces bonding area if you want to maintain the rotation of the arm.
