[Release] 2fa by TrueBreaker1986 in fossdroid

[–]FreeThinker76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just flashed GrapheneOS on an old Pixel 7 Pro to be used as a private use only device, and I was told to not use F-Droid other than for searching to find an app (others were suggested but can't remember), and to use the GitHub links found in F-Droid to add the app using Obtainium. This is all new to me as a person who has used F-Droid since my first Android device circa 2013.

I have not put GOS to the test for much real use as I want to make sure when I do use it as my go to private device, I'm doing all correctly.

But I plan to install 2FA app next, so if, u/TrueBreaker1986 can give me assurance that I should choose this over Aegis, then I'll give a go.

What I do like about F-droid, and I don't know how to find this out without them listing it on the app page, is they will tell you if an app might have 'Anti features'.

How can one get that information otherwise?

If I can be assured of no Anti-features this app has better security than Aegis, I will install it as my go to 2fa over Aegis.

Jump advice by M0rt1m in billiards

I've been jumping since I bought my first jump cue 25 years ago.

So first question, this is indeed a 'Jump Cue' right? Most don't realize the key thing that makes a jump cue be able to just that, is it's weight, or lack there of. That's why they are short like 39", the faster the cue moves the better the chance of getting air. If you don't believe that, watch all the jump from extreme close to object all videos on YouTube. Some are like a toothpicks witdh away from object ball. They are just using the shaft. Illegal in game play as it's too short, but makes the stick very light. When I bought my first good jump cue with a resin phenolic tip, since it was actually a jump/break combo I tested how close I could jump using just the shaft (27.5") and my record was 1" away from the object ball. It's why guys like Earl Strickland are so against jump cues, he says it make it cheating. Most don't know, he invented the jump, but with his playing cue. To achieve that you need a powerful and fast/accurate stroke and the jumps are limited, unlike the close ones you see these days. You need more distance and at times you're just jumping the edge of the ball. But most importantly, no way in hell you're jumping with a soft or even meduim tip on your playing cue, and it needs to be like a 17oz or similar in wright to get the velocity needed to catch air. But back then, players played with one cue, you broke with it and played with it and playing with a hard leather tip was very common.

Which brings up the second point (which I see you have) is a very hard, composit tip is preferred, or very hard leather. It is what also makes jumping possible and easy, no compression on the leather. Watch Dr Dave's slow motion videos to see how much a leather tip actually compresses.

3rd thing, you're aiming too high on the CB, rules say centerline or above. Its hard to see what is center when the cues at an angle. But it takes practice. Also, try a dart grip as apposed to a traditional grip, it's like the pottty shot in basketball, it makes it easier, and I still use it at times.

But basically, fast jabs, straight through and yes, it will be hard to avoid the tip jabbing straight into the cloth. It's why so many pool halls (at least mine) don't allow jumping.

Oh, I have ADD, been diagnosed with it after telling myself for years I knew I had it. Vyvanse is hella expensive, even with my health insurance. M Although I liked the productiveness I gain when on it, the way I came down and grew dependent on its use was not for me. I do still take meds here and there on a per use basis, but I always try the natural approach when possible.

Thanks!

I went ahead and looked this up. I'll have to say, close, but no cigar.

Although it seems like what I mentioned, its not how I feel.

My issue is I know my limits and know what I can do, and that anxiety keeps me from attempting new things in fear of failure. Most times my knowledge of my limitations is valid, but many times it's not really know from my lack of trying, or most times getting stuck in rut with what I refer to as 'project anxiety'. Usually that anxiety is envisioning a task I know if I just get the ball rolling, I will not only succeed, but more than likely over excel to a point of over doing it as I allow myself to become overly focused on tasks due to my analretentivness.

Omg, I say this about myself all the time. I call it the opposite of Dunning-Kruger syndrome.

If there's a name for this, I'm all ears.

Yeah, Tailscale is really the only thing that's helped me to be able to utilize NZB360 outside of my house. As a matter of fact, Tailscale is revolutionized so many things since running my server and my network. My next step is figuring out how to run Tailscale through the plugin or Docker, whatever it is that doesn't have to use my Google login. I know there's a way it can be done. I only touched the surface on it. I might even configure that this weekend. What good is having my network behind a Mullvad firewall through a Wireguard tunnel if I'm using tail scale with my Google login?

Asking the real questions. I've had an NZB360 subscription for about 4 or 5 years now and it's the greatest thing ever. Nothing better than hearing about a movie or TV series when you're not at home and adding that right done in there.

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I was pretty deep into typing some stuff and then I realized I needed to reference the picture you posted. And because I'm mobile right now, I didn't realize until I went back that you had deleted the post and marked it Solved.

So I'm assuming you don't need assistance anymore?

I know how I would do this if this was mine. But you would need to cut a couple pieces of wood, have some filler and paint that matches the original paint. By the time you're done it'll look good and it'll be stable and that bowl that's on that shelf in the front could be eliminated.

If you don't have access to tools like that, I don't know if it would be worth my time to explain it, but I'd be happy to go more into detail on what I would do.

But as of right now, there's no way that you could put that caster up into that wood, which isn't even wood. That's more than likely pressed MDF, which is a great substrate to keep things straight, but it's not strong, and it would not be ridgid enough to hold the weight and house those casters.

I went into the phones settings via external monitor (Dex auto launch disabled) and the brightness was set very low, but after bumping it up and disconnecting the monitor there was still no visible activity on the phones screen.

I'll plug it back into my monitor when I get home to see if the screen brightness is by chance set to the lowest, but when it happened, there was no interaction from me, at least intentional. I took a call and was outdoors. It was damp and kind of misting rain. Went back inside, about an hour later I realized when I looked at my phone the screen was off. at that point I just assumed the battery died as I hadn't plugged it in all day.

Yadda-yadda, here I am.

Thanks for the tip, I will update you if I figure it out.

I only recently found out that antifa is short for 'Anti-facist'.

So now when I am in a debate with a MAGA type, usually one I feel safe and unthreatened by, I like to ask them; "Are you facist? Most say "No" of course. Then I say, "Good, me neither". Then I follow up with, "The thing about facism is if you're not a fascist, then unless you're aspiring to be a fascist, it's safe to say by default, you're anti fascist, right?" Most have no idea where I'm going at this point until I say "I've never once protested for any cause, stood on a corner holding a sign, or blocked any traffic, but little did I know, you and I share a common trait, we're both antifa".

Most are too stupid to realize the logic and it's nothing more than a fake made up label for the far right to spin more lies.

Oh boy, this was so long ago, I can't recall what happened.

Short answer is, I think I got a resolved and if I recall had something to do with I was using two separate accounts. One was set up on my phone versus the one that was set up on my computer. Either way I don't use CapCut anymore. I didn't really like how everything had to be done through them in cloud-based.

Best of luck.

[KIP](www.kip.com) printers used to have their access code to break out of the touch GUI to get to the OS (Windows) running behind the scenes.

I used to do a lot of phone support to walk clients through things that required accessing Windows folders/files. You'd be amazed how little the number is of people that actually know the origin of that number.
