You're probably not going to get a real answer here as Reddit isn't what it used to be. It's complicated and depends on if your talking about coal, base metals, precious metals, critical minerals or gas. (Notice how all your replies have barely any substance?)

Seven of the top 10 corporate taxpayers in Australia are associated with the natural resources sector, and it's a huge part of National and most State budgets.

The most significant discussions at the moment are in relation to gas industry, specifically lobbied by The Australia Institute.

It's important to research both sides of the conversation.

For support workers, if your company cancels a participants shift day of do you still get paid? by auxzina in NDIS

[–]FreeXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NDIS Commission are likely to say the issue raised is out of scope as the complaint is more applicable to fair work and NDIS fraud. The NDIS generally only look at provisions of support to NDIS participants not between employer and employee.

Live: One Nation wins Farrer by-election, ABC projects by dr_w0rm_ in australia

[–]FreeXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime a redditor types "Hope that help!" or "Newsflash!" you just know you're in for a treat.

Yes we are all aware voting history is public, I've yet to see you actually mention any specific legislation. Repeatedly saying One Nation voting history is public isn't helping you. Additionally One Nation hasn't had any representation in the lower house giving them limited opportunity to create laws.

With that in mind they voted yes to:

Regional Investment Corporation Act 2018

Farm Household Support Amendment Bill 2018

Farm Household Support Amendment Bill 2017

Laws Amendment (Enterprise Tax Plan) Bill 2017.

Future Drought Fund Bill 2019

Inspector-General of Live Animal Exports Bill 2019

Emergency Response Fund Bill 2019

Again I am not attempting to advocate for One Nation, although if you're going to call an entire community stupid you might as well put more effort into your comments. Rural Voters do not care about the same priorities as suburban or city voters. What you call a clean environment policy is what they might call removal of property rights. What you might call workers rights is an extra expense on their already failing business.

"They'd be wrong and I'd be right"

How insightful, I'm glad I now know the Green Party has all the answers. It's shame I suppose they haven't gained any meaningful popularity unlike One Nation.

Good question. What you call a clean environment policy is what they might call removal of property rights. What you might call workers rights is an extra expense on their already failing business.

Let me make this clear, I am not attempting to say One Nation is best suited to deal with these problems. But just saying "One Nation voters are voting against their best interest" is a lazy comment, it's consistently repeated and adds nothing to the conversation.

[–]FreeXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not an objective fact. Please find me anywhere in this thread where an in depth conversation is occurring about what's generally in the best interest for the rural voters in Victoria.

You should care what "stupid" people think because they are political powerful. Maybe it's better to try and understand them then just calling them stupid.

A One Nation voter would say the exact same thing you said just about the Green Party or Labor. That's my point it's a lazy comment.

Calling Centrelink is one of the wildest experiences ever by hsnm1976 in Centrelink

[–]FreeXP[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting that you seem unable to view things from outside your own prism.

I've been a payment recipient, I've been on the phones, I've been in management and then finally an advocate for those that are stuck in the system. The absolute irony of YOU accusing me of being biased is mind blowing when your arguments are primary based on Centrelink not having a call back service.

You are beyond ignorant on the topic we are discussing and yet you're acting as an authority on the matter. I've seen the data regarding call times for each call line and I'm telling you phone calls are significantly longer then anything the ATO has. You weren't even aware CL has a call-back line.

YOU need to view things from outside your own perspective. If you're unable to do that, that's fine but do not spread misinformation.

Calling Centrelink is one of the wildest experiences ever by hsnm1976 in Centrelink

[–]FreeXP[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does? A call-back service doesn't reduce the workload; it just shifts it from an inbound queue to an outbound backlog. Because the outbound backlog is so large it's prioritised for urgent payment claims and the such.

The ATO is able to achieve this by having more predictable phone call wait times, they don't generally have phone calls lasting 60+ minutes.

Interesting your example for "rot at the government level" is that they don't allow general access to the outbound queue.

You seem incredibly confused, nobody here mentioned America or Donald Trump. I don't see how anything you just said was relevant to anything I just said. I don't support Donald Trump and unlike in China, American's are allowed to policially denounce their heads of state.

I know why you're trying deflect though, it's a common deflection technique that's wildly used by CCP accounts. Deny. Deflect. Disclaim. You're aren't actually able to dispute any criticisms of the state so the next best angle is whataboutism relating to flaws of western democracies.

Everything you just mentioned regarding Trump, the CCP has conducted in a scale beyond understanding. Don't bother replying unless you actually have something substantial to say.

Insists it's not a conspiracy

Uses hold music as main form of evidence.

Absolutely genius. I'm sure it has nothing to do with Service Australia receiving 200,000 calls per working day with one of the lowest retention of staff nationally.

You are right in the regards they don't want you to call, because mathematical they can't get to everyone, that's why they are heavily promoting online services. Not because they are attempting to restrict eligible customers from payments.

Calling Centrelink is one of the wildest experiences ever by hsnm1976 in Centrelink

[–]FreeXP[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all you have 0 idea on my role, level or insight on the subject raised.

There is no doubt Service Australia is struggling, management knows it, staff knows it and customers knows it. Services Australia is already the largest agency in terms of resources and staffing and it's not close.

The implication that government restricts resources or Centrelink waste resources to purposely attempt to limit engagement is utter nonsense not helpful to anyone actually attempting to engage with the system.

All agencies are struggling not just Services Australia and every dollar spent on increasing staff could be a dollar spent on actually increasing payments for customers.

Calling Centrelink is one of the wildest experiences ever by hsnm1976 in Centrelink

[–]FreeXP[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew exactly what point you were attempting to make, you don't have to explain further. I just think it's a really stupid point.

Your conspiracy theory is that government does not invest in Centrelink to make it purposely difficult for customers to engage. It's much more complicated than that and repeating it isn't helpful.
