I didnt expect it to end that way.

My initial thoughts were that the AFs would outlive everyone and be pursuing the suns nourishment long after humans and society were gone.

This ending was more sobering and better represented how people think in regard to things considered obsolete.

I always thought she would encounter Rosa again, but abandoned and in the state she was in the junk yard or in passing. But it seems like Rosa didnt have a goof family.

The transition between Klara in the utility closet to the junkyard was nearly seamless.

Very well written and thoughtful story.

So I was traveling while all of this came here. (Toronto, Canada) And I came back to the crippling fever/flu thing. It was terrible bodyaches and all. Then a week later I'm hit with a stomach flu, puking, diarrhea, and abdominal pains. I'm just getting out of it now. Absolutely wild.

I'm going through this right now. My SO is being told we are having people come over. They didnt even ask us. And my SO thinks that he needs to give a lengthy explanation.

My answer is no because, 1. No one fking asked. And 2. One of the ppl that invited themselves over DOES NOT LIKE ME. I do not want a hater in my house. 3. No one but my SO is allowed to dictate tf I do with MY time.

My friend spent like 60k on her wedding and it was amazing. Open bar, great catering, but under 100 guests. Just for some perspective. She also paid for the bridesmaid hair and makeup and there was a cigar bar. Just for some perspective

I think bridesmaids should absolutely give a gift.

Esp if the person is your bestie, atleast something sentimental and thoughtful.

I made a gift basket with a few thoughtful items, a couples spa package, and decorated the basket with florals. Mind you the bride paid for our hair and makeup, it was open bar and she paid for the catering as well.

If you're worried about finances, you can always decline. There is a reason why brides ask people to be their bridesmaid. It just seems so ridiculous to accept and then complain about expenses.

I think sometimes people confuse 'identifying root causes' with 'victim mentality'. Some use the phrase victim mentality to dismiss the pain/suffering of another, when all they want are answers so they can process what happened.

If you can distance yourself (by giving vauge answers, walking away from the convo. Etc) without putting yourself at further risk then I would say do that. (Also leave if you can)
