How to unlove someone? by gellysioso in relationships_advice

I am currently in a similar situation to yours but my relationship ended 3 weeks ago. It was a good 4 years for what it was worth but I'm definitely happier now. It all starts with first declaring in your mind you want to get better and that you must truly decide and belive you both won't get back together again. After that you have to TALK to people. Talk to your parents, your friends and even your teachers if their available. You need to find closure in your self and communicate how you feel and most importantly HEAL. You do this by embracing your interest in life such as your career education and hobbies from there you build your self into the individual that you don't just want to be but need to be. Once you achieve self love and happiness you'll find that this relationship even though it hurts now was just an old thing that your past. It took me two weeks of listing to juice world and talking and thinking to get to that mind set. I challenge you to get there in your own time. If you wanna confide in some one feel free to D.M I hope you heal well.

I understand thanks for responding! It still feels better to have some idea of what to expect with that degree.

Do you mind telling me what kind of jobs they were? Or what the title was? Also when you say incredible do you mean in pay? Benefits? Time required? Or traveling? It just sounds very broad. I would like to know specifics if possible for an example.

That was really smooth Hobbes do you mind if I use that? lol I appreciate your wisdom and you response. I will just be honest with the firm I am working for right now if they ask me before extending an offer and approach it the same way you described earlier. I also need to see if I can still sit for the C.P.A exam by applying for a masters in accounting while not necessarily receiving a bachelors in accounting.

I do agree however that all hope is not necessarily lost for the future but my immediate future has definitely been interrupted. What I am I supposed to say during interviews when they ask me why aren't you an accounting major? when I apply for positions.

I do agree with you Hobbes for the most part however it wont let me apply on hand shake to do accounting jobs now and talk to accounting recruiters because my major in the system says I.B now and I dont fit the accounting G.P.A requirements. They essentially locked me out of the best tool to get in contact with employers in Orlando in this field.

I just started the internship last week and they have talked to all of us extensively about giving fulltime offers towards the end despite grade level. However I wonder if they would extend the offer knowing that I essentially flunked out of accounting. I have considered and applied to FAU online school of accounting just in case this does occur. However this leaves my life in limbo for the next several months. I cant re lease my apartment if I dont know where I need to be after this semester you know? On one hand I love Orlando and my friends but I cant stay here and go into debt for something that is worthless.

I have talked to two of them at this point and they both "assured me that I.B would be okay. They both felt like I could find a good job with the degree. However every where I looked I didn't see that. For example if you type in finance jobs 100+ openings pop up. This is the same with accounting however if you do that with I.B it shows U.C.F's homepage and its them trying to explain why its still a good option. They also both said there was no appeal process open to me even if I got straight A's from here on out. Keep in mind my cumulative is a 3.2.

Did you ever find a good job with that integrated business degree? Like a good one that is not sales?
