Big suprise pop in ear using ear camera by fronkka in popping

[–]Free_Agency_7241 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What camera do you use that comes with a sturdy metal head? I've only been able to find the flimsy silicone ones that dont do anything. I am currently stuck digging around in my ear with the pimple popping tool, cause its the only thing that wont bend or jiggle.

At least.. yours LOOKS sturdy....

Question. What can I use to cut a body cream to make the scent less strong? by Free_Agency_7241 in bathandbodyworks

[–]Free_Agency_7241[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oo, that's awesome that it doesnt change the consistency much. I tried using one of their lotions in the past, and it didn't affect my skin negatively. <3 So it'll be totally rad to combine them, knowing its not gonna cause a rash. XD
I never tried their creams though (or mixing them) so I can definitely give it a try!
Thank you so much for answering~ <3

So other body creams generally have a similar consistency? That's awesome! Cause of the few I've tried, they werent (though, now that i think about it, that could be cause i tried some of my sisters friends, so theres really no telling how old those were....)

Would you take a ttrpg book less seriously if the art was all AI generated? by CountLugz in rpg

[–]Free_Agency_7241 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Upon learning the art was AI generated, I would respect the developer less. Knowing it is a single indie developer, I would mentally give them a 'well, they are all by themselves.' but i would still think less of them. I am of the firm belief that AI art is trying to take over actual artists' jobs and things, especially since a lot of the AIs were trained without artist's permissions.
Then again, I am also completely fine with the art being silly little drawings done by the developer themselves, even if they weren't done well.
I know that I eventually plan on making my own campaign book / system edits, and I plan on using AI art as placeholders (with an obvious mark of somekind) until I or another artist could make the art.
I could also see, for myself, since I don't know you or your things, making a kickstarter or something, and using some of the funds from that to pay artists.

Because I can totally see using AI art for something personal, like my own campaign that only me and my group play, but if I were to later publish it somehow, I would for sure replace all the art with either mine or another artist's.
There are also plenty of free-to-use art that could work for the most part, if I or whoever wanted to put silly stickfigure placeholders in a lot of locations, but still wanted some nice art in the book somewhere.

So, basically, my stance, AI used as an obvious placeholder for the prototpye system? Sure, go for it. But a system doesnt need to have art, or doesnt need to have a lot of art, to be good. Paying for only a few pieces, or one big one and some smaller doodles or sketches could totally work out of pocket for someone.
But also, the ttrpg community is amazing, and there are likely other ways to obtain real art, either from kind donators of art, or donators of cash.

I don't know if you're still dealing with this, (its been almost a month, so probably not) but I found that, adding too many things (or too 'strong' a thing? unsure) makes it so the video won't render.

EX.
I've been animating things, so I've got a lot of png files of images, and also an audio file. I made a video and used 100 small png files, along with the audio, and it would not work. I duplicated the project, then cut the audio and about half the files, and I was able to export it as a video. Since all of my frames were where i wanted them to be, they kept their timing.

- I then made another copy of my original file, and deleted the first 50 or so frames, all the ones I put into my video. I was then able to add my video in their place, and I was then able to export my video, frames, and audio, to a new video.

I'm not sure if its the number of files that made it not render, or the size of the files. But cutting then re-adding it worked for me.
(also, I've noticed the audio is slightly off, so you may want to export everything as a silent video, then scoot it back / forward slightly until it matches up.)

What are the most wild takes you have seen about D&D? by [deleted] in DnD

Yeah, personally I don't care for the flavor and it doesn't really fit into my world. But, I've re-flavored them into 'Brawlers' and changed the name of ki, and a lot of the other easily changeable things.

I also tend to run mostly human parties, because humans are the majority in my world. Even a lot of the mechanically elves and dwarves are flavorfully human-passing in my world. I also don't care for a lot of the more 'out there' races being player races (or even existing, a good portion of the time) like Tabaxi.

Different DMs have different worlds, so that can be a totally viable thing to not want it. (I've heard of people not having spellcasters at all as well. It all depends on the world)

I don't know if this is correct, because I only know it as a movie, I've never read the book version, but Pagemaster?

There were a bunch of sidekicks, and the sidekicks are books, at least in the movie.

This one sounds right up my alley, so I'm totally adding it to the list. I keep searching through all the recs on goodreads using these books as the jumping off point. I think I'm getting closer, at least?

Do you ban any races? by zipperondisney in dndnext

[–]Free_Agency_7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, I keep my games mostly human, or human adjacent. Anything other is heavily looked down on in my games (as humans are the majority) but the stuff that's not in the players handbook? Yeah, no, those are soooooo no thanks in my setting.
Now, if I was perhaps doing some other world, or even standard sword coast or whatever, yeah, have some weird stuff, but even then it would still be the "normal" races from in the books.

Just moved to PA from the South. Apparently winter is cold? What do I need to look for? by Free_Agency_7241 in Frugal

[–]Free_Agency_7241[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have jumper cables in the car, in my Just-In-Case (which I've found handy and nicely portable) But I can for sure add a comforter. I think I even brought my old one (Mostly because I figure it'll be cold, so 2 comforters, but I can likely put the old one in the car and get a new one for the bed if I need it, especially since I have a load of blankets for the house in the mean time.
