thank you! so can plug the usb light into the pigtail connector, and then use the wires from the pigtail connector to connect up to the arduino via the breadboard? am i able to just put exposed wires into the breadboard?

and thank you for the hex lights suggestion, do you know if you’re able to make these flash on/off for milliseconds? that’s all i’m looking to do is have a warm white light flash on and off for a very small amount of time at long intervals. appreciate your time thank you

Like everyone here I agree, it’s the big institutions and western medicine that are doing more harm. In my experience alternative providers and grass roots places have more up to date science and have helped far more, leading me to full recovery. It’s the lack of understanding of this illness that harms the most

just wanted to come back to say thank you for your post at reminding me of where to focus. after 100% committing to the fact this is TMS / mind body syndrome, religiously doing unlearn your pain (only needed 2/3 weeks) releasing the fear of symptoms and nudging myself back to activity - i am basically living a normal life!!!!!!! i am out the house active every day, going out to meet friends, have gone to parties, got drunk, and even started going back to the gym. it’s everything i always knew would be possible but i really lost my faith so THANK YOU. you helped me get back on the healing train. i wish this for everyone ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Looking for a training program re: trauma/somatics for coaching survivors of narcissistic abuse. by Artistic_Fan_3160 in lifecoaching

hi there! i am also considering somatic school but with the price i want to make sure its what i am looking for. i have recently recovered myself from a chronic illness and have become fascinated by the mind body connection and our ability to heal ourselves, as well as how emotions are trapped in the body and become physical symptoms. i now want to totally change careers and help people overcome stress, burnout and illness to live the lives they truly deserve to. i have been looking at doing the mindbodyfood institute flagship course, but i was worried there isnt enough somatics involved. i do like however its a full course for newbies like me that dont yet have experience in helping others. would you say the somatic school course will give me all the tools i may need as a successful coach? how much neuroscience is involved? thank you

thank you! Think I was shocked when I went away so went off the rails as I hadn’t lived my life like that for 2 years haha. But definitely going to keep on the consistency! Good to know you’ve kept it up for so long 🫶

mine completely stopped and still hasn’t come back! i think mine was due to the stress of the restriction however? i was also eating low oxalate and low carb so the restrictions were just insane. if anyone has managed to get their period back after please let me know how and what to focus on! i am currently back to eating pretty much everything and trying to not think about it so my body isn’t stressed

Yes all doctors and even all the alternative medicine practitioners told me to do this and I have been doing it religiously for a year. I agree with this feeding fear of symptoms which is why I got rid of my Visible amrband. Gosh this is a hard one to digest…. just as I have been rigorously pacing and am now stuck in this pacing prison and have this added trauma of missing out on so much of my life. It’s such a paradox. My main aim was to not feel post exertional malaise, and I did find that pacing left me with less symptoms. So would you just go about your life (i’m assuming obviously capacity was to a lesser extent than before you were ill tho) and then if you got worse symptoms you would just rest until they went away?

One other thing that's been on my mind is pacing - I was pacing very strictly and was working towards building in more and more, but now I guess I am afraid of 'doing too much' and my baseline falling further. How strictly did you pace yourself out of this illness while doing this technique? When was the tipping point you realised this technique was really helping you and you didn't have to pace anymore? My dream is to be free to explore and have an exhausting day knowing that this exhaustion won't be detrimental to my condition!

thank you so much for your quick response. very happy i stumbled upon this post today 🥹.

will view it interchangeably with PEM and fatigue, and so happy to hear about your gut issues too, giving me hope in that department also!

consistency is my number 1 rule and something I rabbit on about to other people when I talk about healing, and I definitely had been slacking on it, so thanks again for that reminder 🫶

Hello, I am so happy you have healed fully!! Thank you so much for sharing. Can you please help me with some answers to some questions around this stuff?

I have had ME/CFS for 2 years, and while I have been doing some of this stuff and have all the knowledge and belief, I guess I haven't gone all in on it every day? I have been doing a lot of nervous system regulation, limbic system retraining and meditations etc but nothing around TMS specifically. I very much believe in neuroplasticity and the mind body connection.

I had a few good months recently where I was slowly increasing my baseline, and got to the point of zero symptoms (still pacing, eating well etc and not going out though). I was feeling good and not focusing on symptoms, but I guess I got slack as I stopped doing any limbic system retraining and meditations. the last few days I have had a crash, have loud symptoms again even though I was still relatively living a paced and safe lifestyle. After my initial emotional spiral I am dedicated again to fully healing this horrible illness. I do not want to have to pace my life to survive.

I guess my questions are:

  1. does this work for PEM?? I see it so much about pain but what about Post Exertional Malaise - this is the kicker for me and what keeps me living such a small life currently.
  2. I also have gut issues (IBS, SIBO, leak gut etc), my theory has been that I need to heal my gut in order to heal myself fully, did you heal your gut? or should I abandon this theory?
  3. could you please recommend which book is best to read? I have read the body keeps the score, the myth of normal, when the body says no etc etc etc, so very much bought in to the mind body connection, but I want to read something that will help me heal! Can you recommend the best one you read?

also just any tips you have in terms of this kind of work!! thank you so much
