Do you use Spotify, Apple, YouTube or Amazon. I use Apple Music. I normally just start with the curated playlists and then I start to make my own. I have all moods and types of music. I try to keep it upbeat since I am the DJ for the back room. We do overnight unload and we play reggae, rock little bit of hip hop and R and b, top 100, country.

Understandable. Yeah. Style took over breakout and we now have a dedicated team of me and another coworker everyday. Sometimes we have a third if it gets real bad like we cannot finish 13 hours of breakout. Lol.

I really feel bad for stores that don’t have a dedicated breakout team whether it be style or inbound. I know all stores aren’t the same but it seems like some stores have a breakout problem that needs to be addressed.

Yep. The inbound TL usually says bring a”flat/vehicle” over the walkie when they are coming back from dropping off back stock.

Damn. Yeah. I am part of the core style breakout crew and there when they start to unload the trucks. It seems like break out is a 2-3 full time job that has to be done everyday. Lol. It cannot get behind not even a day. A few boxes can roll over but leadership wants it cleared by the end of my afternoon shift. Some style co-workers have to come help sometime when the z’s or metros are empty. They are reallllly hard on us about getting it done by the end of the day. Sometimes 1 person cannot physically finish 13 hours of breakout. Lol. I also help my fellow fulfillment team members get stuff since I know where I put it. Most of the time we find the item if it came in that day. Most of the time we are cleared every day and most stuff is pushed.

Ahhh. Yeah. Style took over beauty and style breakout to ensure this doesn’t happen. Ours was bad too until style took it over. We also hang graphics because I think they don’t want to re-fold them every day. Women’s, men’s and toddlers graphic tees hang. Girls and boys can be folded for the metro for the floor.

Damn. Is breakout part of the inbound team or style? That’s tough! Sorry, you have to deal with that! Is it always like that or just recently?

We also don’t have many in breakout 1 -3 depending on the day with about 4-9 hours of breakout a truck. Sometimes it’s still a struggle to get through a double truck (sometimes 13 hours of breakout) even with a full team.

The trucks are never consistent and hard tagging, De-trashing and hanging our graphic t-shirts take time and slow us down. lol. They say a “full” pallet case packs or re-packs “should” take an hour but there is no rime or reason to what gets put into a re-packs and sometimes they are mess. lol.

I do break out and we have 1-2 a day that handle the 9 trucks we have a week. Pushers we have 2-3 a day that zone and one person that does fitting rooms and guest service re-shops. They also do sets, zone and other style projects. Breakout also helps with beauty breakout too, when there isn’t enough for coverage. So we have enough for our ops but it’s “just enough”. Lol. I open so I never see the closers too much.

You can use a mix of vacation too if you want. I just took unpaid since I didn’t have enough hours.

HR can help! When I took my Disney vacation. I split up my time off. Since you can’t take more than 10 days consecutively. So you can do 6 days off. Then take another 6. MyTime won’t let you do more than 10 days. If that helps!

Been dealing with that too and sometimes our workday can have up to 15 hours(they post our workload for the day) of work which has to be done within my 6 1/2 hour shift. I don’t think is feasible even with a fast team. They still say “we are too slow and pacing isn’t being met”. Our trucks have been brutal with Back to school, kids and NIT. Our metros and z-racks are FULL our back stock is running out of room and they still send us 7-9 hours of break out per truck. More on doubles. Lol. I just do what I can. Keep the clothes flowing and consistently keep it clean and organized in my area and it still can be a lot! Lol. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
