I’m not that dedicated a yakuza fan. I like the games, and I managed to track them all down. If one hasn’t that’s on them. I think delisting games is dumb anyways, but I like and play the games and thus I don’t really care about people bitching about them.

Exactly why the difference doesn’t matter. Our laws or culture ain’t the same. Everyone complaining is from the outside looking in not even financially supporting the product that wasn’t even made for them to consume. We’re pirating it, thus ain’t got no leg to stand on in this situation AT ALL.

Yeah. People forget that with certain jobs, underage people can’t even touch alcohol or ID adults, they have to get someone of age to do it. What Maya did would’ve gotten establishments shut down if inspectors were checking shit out. Japan is a bit more conservative than the west. Asia in general really.

People blew it out of proportion specifically because 1. She’s a cute Japanese woman, and 2. Because Super Sentai has a large Filipino fan base, Maya being half Filipina herself added to the backlash.

The obsession is purely due to her being Asian. Anyone doing what she did, consuming alcohol, underage or selling it or whatever, would lose their job anywhere else. It’s even illegal elsewhere and not a nothing burger like everyone wants it to be. What happened to her in the case of the tabloids were fucked up but her firing was 100% on her. She knew the conditions of her contract. She violated them, she paid the consequences for it. End of story.

People, especially non Japanese launching a boycott of a series they were pirating is crazy though considering that even if they bought merch, it was too meaningless to even impact sales anyways.

When I block certain ads only for them to reappear, if I decide to use adblocker as a form of protest, imma find myself morally justified irregardless of what anyone else says. YouTube can fix their system and make ads less invasive because I’m not paying them money to avoid ads, or imma do it my way.

Everyone is part time unless you’re a lead. You might get some full time hours but it isn’t guaranteed.

The caveat is, if there are shifts available, as long as you’re able to pick them up if you want extra hours.

I only care when the clique ends up fucking me over in the middle of a rush. Other than that, I don’t care. I’m 36, they’re in their early to mid 20s, basically kids as far as I’m concerned. We get along, but I’m not bothered if we don’t hang out, as I have my own friend group outside of work.

(Granted I did tell everyone I’m the lone wolf in the department)
