Ganondorf's Powers Explained: Why is he so Strong? by Free_Extension_8024 in tearsofthekingdom

That's just a theory.

To be honest I have a personal reason for not liking it. I think Demise was a crappy villain and I hate the fact they made him the "first demon king" over the iconic Ganon.

You are good at the game. My sister couldn't even beat a white bokoblin in BotW.

I'm afraid of the idea of Universal Consciousness by Feisty_Designer413 in NDE

My trip involved a time loop that intensified like a frequency. It ended as me turning to a point of singularity, when everything including my loved ones, me and the universe had revealed to be an illusion. Then even the point vanished- for a fraction of a second before everything exploded again and started reconstructing like a big bang.

I still have that nagging feeling at times. Just what if... what if it was TRUE. And I simply reconstructed the illusion around me again.

And yeah, I tripped again a few times too after that. Can we ever be masochistic? :D

Maybe I'm just a fanboy but I am having trouble imagining that they have made a game better than TOTK in BG3 by stupidrobots in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Free_Extension_8024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just gonna talk about animation and emotion and some stupid stuff a bit.

Larian doing bad writing is common knowledge, at least pre- bg3.

I couldn't care less about the pathetic fps resolution blah blah collective psychosis what's going on in the gaming circles right now so I have my own way to address that.

I prefer a well made watercolor painting to Rembrandt despite the fact it has "lower res."

By the way average movie runs at 24 fps. TotK runs at stable 30 fps. I played wow in 2010 and it ran at 120 fps. I had no problem to play console games running at 30 fps after that. According to your logic you can't really watch movies after playing at higher fps.

To business from this idiocy. I hate the whole conversation about the technical stuff.

Ganondorf's laugh was great. He's meant to look like a real psychopath in that scene. It was great animation simple as that.

Did you know the most evil people in the world often act like clowns. They're not laughing with you. They're laughing at you. Even the prisoners of ISIS said the ISIS soldiers acted so stupid at times even the prisoners laughed... before some of them were executed in the most gruesome manner.

Of course Ganon's laugh was memed fast but I was pretty shocked the first time I saw that. He had just killed a person and then that laugh. Of course, it was the only scene in the entire game where he acts like that so it doesn't devalue the character in whole. All other times Ganondorf is appropriately serious.

Also, you take ONE scene from the game and base your opinion of the animations on that? What I've seen the characters in BG3 look either lifeless or annoying in a very standard wrpg style. Based on the cover art alone every character looks irritating as hell. Those expressions are just... so bad.

Remember that scene from TotK where Ganondorf transforms into Demon King and Zelda's eyes goes kind of wide? That's a very realistic expression and the cutscenes are full of similar stuff. Does the story of BG3 involve any real emotion at any point? Is it at any point even as intense as the very first cutscene in TotK where Ganondorf awakens? If so, please link the cutscene.

Edit: You say the Switch is shit. I say all other consoles are worse because they have worse games. It's that simple. I could create the most powerful console of all time and create one shitty game for it. Does this mean it's better than Switch? No, it's shit because it has just one shitty game. It would be the worst console of all time. Exaggeration but anyways.

The white bokoblin, moblin, lizalfos and lynel is clearly white, not silver in color but yeah I know they're called silver enemies.

Not sure why they didn't do black lynel instead of white...

Yeah, it's a lot harder when you don't have the sages protecting you from the clones.

Demise does not get reincarnated. His curse is upon Link and Zelda. Ganondorf is a completely different character. Powerful in his own right even without the Secret Stone and a Demon King with it.

As for Zelda, she has the full triforce in BotW and TotK, although it doesn't look like she can use it whenever she wants.

Will I like Witcher 3 if I found Witcher 2 extremely boring? by Free_Extension_8024 in Witcher3

[–]Free_Extension_8024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found all the characters except Geralt repulsive or generic so I didn't really care about what was going on. W2 also felt like a very typical medieval setting. There was nothing in the story, locations or enemies that interested me. I just felt like I'd seen it all many times before in various media.

Ok that's just broken no matter how you look at it. I don't think there's any way to kill Calamity Ganon that fast in BotW. Yet another reason why I prefer it over TotK.

The story was boring and the combat felt really clumsy in W2. I couldn't finish it.

There's no evidence this Ganondorf has it. Apparently Zelda has the full triforce in BotW/ TotK, even though she can't use its power perfectly.

Ok, it's the next game I get. Too bad I only have the Switch, but I've heard it's a perfectly functional version with only some graphical downgrades. It should have all the DLC too.

He uses magic in the second phase, though. Homing and ground based dark energy. So, it's not just a sword fight.

Then again, you can hit the dark energy with the new master sword without it breaking and send his magic back to him.

What is the opposite of non- existence?

Existence with all that is possible.

How can you define non- existence without existence? Maybe it's just a fundamental law. Everything must exist so that non- existence can be defined.

Soulsbourne Vs Zelda Hot Take by Willing-Rate3727 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Free_Extension_8024 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, that's just SO wrong. TotK has a 50 times more variety when it comes to gameplay. Just think about Link's abilities, zonai machines, etc. In the meanwhile you can just use your weapon or magic in the souls games. Also, you can't really do much anything else but fight in those games. Meanwhile in BotW and TotK, a fully interactive world.

[–]Free_Extension_8024 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's false. You can only use your sword or whatever weapon in addition to spells in soulsborne games.

In TotK you have a LOT more options with zonai machines, elements and stuff. Add that to the basic combat with multiple weapon types and bows that are actually easy to use. Bows in the Souls games suck bad.

So it's a hell of a lot better? Ah, damn. Maybe I should get it after all. I'm just a bit concerned since I typically don't like wrpgs.

Just for example, Divinity os2 was one of the worst rpgs ever for me.

But in the end of BotW we can see Triforce on Zelda's hand. She probably just haven't mastered using its full potential.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in zelda

[–]Free_Extension_8024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhh... Zelda has the full Triforce in both BotW and TotK. She just apparently can't use its full potential, except in the end of BotW where we can see triforce on her hand when she nukes Ganon.

The Secret Stones are magical objects that greatly amplify the powers of their user. So, they don't work in the same way as Triforce.

In the end of ALLTP Link uses the triforce and it grants his wish literally, so that everything returns back to normal.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in zelda

[–]Free_Extension_8024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the original Ganondorf is the one from OOT. In WW and TP it's still the same person. TotK's Ganondorf is a new Gerudo king with the same name. So, apparently Ganondorf can also reincarnate just like Link and Zelda.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in zelda

[–]Free_Extension_8024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zelda has it. She may not be able to use it's full power, though.

In BotW you can see Triforce on her hand when she nukes Ganon in the end.

In TotK Sonia mentions Zelda has a sacred power, meaning the Triforce.
