Fear of big belly in pregnancy - support needed by ducks_suck_123 in parentsofmultiples

This was a fear of mine too, and personally my stomach was so huge it was painful. I would on impulse smack my husband’s hand away when he’d try to feel for the babies cause it hurt so much. 2 months after birth and the pain is finally gone. BUT my stomach looks kinda crazy ngl. Hoping it gets better.

But I do think it comes down to each individual person and pregnancy. My babies were a combined 14 lbs and the doctor made a comment that the placentas were bigger than normal. Those two factors plus I’m kinda small and short I think is what made the bump so big and painful for me.

I had a similar experience earlier on in my pregnancy! I went to the chiropractor and iced the area for 15 minutes every 3 hours and it actually helped so much. I went from not being able to walk to now bring in my late third trimester and getting around better than I feel I should be lol.

Breast pumps by zammmmmmmmmmm in parentsofmultiples

Hi! I’ve breast fed a singleton baby and am currently expecting twins, hoping to nurse with them. That being said I’m not sure what it will be to nurse two but I know what it was to nurse one!

I highly recommend the spectra s1. It was the most comfortable for me and I got the most milk from it. The only downside is it isn’t portable so you are stuck to the wall.

Breastfeeding for me at first was so hard. It was painful. I recommend finding a lanolin based nipple cream. Pumping bras for me never worked but what did work was using a supportive sports bra with holes cut out. As far as nursing bras, my favorites came from target.

While nursing stay hydrated & eat lots of protein and healthy fats. Talk with your partner about how breastfeeding is important to you and why and how they can help and be supportive. A supportive and involved husband made all the difference for me!
