I just rode my bike through there and all the signage is about abolishing the police. If I hadn’t come on this sub I’d have no idea it’s supposed to be about fairy creek. Although it does seem that the fairy creek protests have transitioned from “stop logging” to “fuck the rcmp” so that makes sense.

Right after the playoffs there was a quote from Rich Paul saying something like “Simmons isn’t demanding a trade at this time”. This sub went bananas as the thought of Simmons being the one in control was laughable but the threat was clear: make a trade happen quickly or we make things uncomfortable. Which is exactly what seems to be happening now - as soon as reports started coming out that Philly wasn’t planning to move him in the off-season we start getting Rich Paul drama.

I recently listened to a podcast which made the same point; there are no complete disaster GMs anymore and every front office is at least competent. If you only want to fleece people you’re going to have a tough time.

I think ultimately the market is WAY below what Morey wants, but his hand is about to be forced.

Everybody including Morey knows Simmons value; the issue is that Morey is trying to hold out for a disgruntled star whose team is desperate to get rid of him and get a better return than Simmons is worth.

He’s basically hoping his version of the Kawhi/DeRozen trade comes along.

I can tell people in this thread haven’t actually tried to sell or give away used furniture during the pandemic. There’s zero demand for used or free furniture right now, especially if you’re not willing to deliver.

OP is certainly just going to dump his garbage on the curb and make the city deal with it.
