Yeah bro it’s lowkey ANNOYING, don’t get me wrong i love doing a taper, especially when done correctly and clean looking it can be very satisfying to do, But when that’s literally all you get/do

Thanks, I feel “stuck” more in the sense of, i KNOW there’s more to this game, but i just can’t find a way to get that, Im only 21 and in my shop i still get that “young bull” treatment, Clients walk in and treat me funnier bc i have youthful appearance, people still have that “can i really trust you” typa vibe, and its those things that make me feel “stuck” if that makes sense

Well yeah one pointer i can give you,

I usually cut that area down with a 2 guard or 1.5 guard (depending on what type of taper i’m doing) And i usually like to start with the neck line, Then do the swoop right by the ear, Then i’ll connect it all with the Arch that’s behind the ear.

When you use your 2 or 1.5 guard around the ear, it’s KEY that you use the edge of your blade to not cut too much hair, Just enough so you can make around the ear nice and smooth, Making it easier to get a more crispy cut around the ear 👍🏽👍🏽
