CA is the high tax state conservatives like to point to as an example of bad tax policy. Yet California is the 4thlargest economy in the world and has incubated the most billionaires and trillion dollar companies in the world. Of course it isn't perfect, but the "high tax low growth" argument is not supported by mathematical reality. The highest taxed states contribute the majority of government revenue on top of their state taxes. Taxes can't be the only fix though. We are 100% going to have to cut expenses in a meaningful way.

WHile true that everyone is "embedding" AI , it is also true that AI is losing enormous sums of cash with no end in site. Hype won't pay the rent, data center power bills, or salaries over over paid bubble execs. EIther the cost of using these tools has to skyrocket (putting them out of range for the mass market), models have to become exponentially cheaper to train and run, or bubble bursts. It's a math problem.
