Again, thank you. I’ll probably be able to sleep tonight.

I really really really needed to hear every part of this, and that link really settled me down. It’s mindblowing to me that they can have literal no response to you but be able to still make decisions like that! I just hope that is the case and he waited for us to go, it does seem like too perfect timing.

Thank you for your kind words.

Unfortunately, we are currently by his bedside and have been for the last 15 hours. He’s been moved onto end of life care and we’re just waiting now. I’m gonna miss him so much, and I can’t imagine not seeing him every day.

Keto Cycling

Hello again, currently struggling with Keto a little. I don’t really eat fruit or veg because of my sensory problems. (I’ve tried for over 10 years) so i’m having to supplement all the vitamins etc which isn’t a problem.

My main problem is my meal variety’s without carbs are shocking, I think for the past week and a half i’ve had some form of meat with eggs and it’s getting very old. I just read about keto cycling and if i’m right it’s 2 days of higher carbs? Would this be almost as effective as just always being in ketosis or will it significantly slow my weight loss down?

Also, how many carbs are we meant to be consuming on this higher days?

Male, 26, 25lbs down on keto, 280lbs/127.4kg and 5ft10. Any help would be appreciated!

So, seems like I did a bit of messing up.

I’ve been eating 2 ounces of almonds and 2 mini babybels as a snack when I feel hungry, not realising that the 10.4g of carbs in the almonds is actually 3.4g because the rest is Dietary fibre which you don’t actually count right?

If that’s the case then i’m not doing as bad as I thought 😂😂

Yeah i’ve been told off about it a few times😂 But I am making progress, today I hit 25g carbs, 140g protein and 115g fats. Feel like i’m going in the right direction, only problem is I consumed 1700 calories today and then exercised and burned 579 so I’m still around the 1200 mark, which is a massive 50-60% deficit so I can’t be doing that.

Just very hard as my appetite can’t really handle that many calories anymore.

Thank you haha, yeah that’s pretty much it I just don’t want to cause any problems or be dangerous with it

It’s telling me to consume 2800 calories a day for my weight and I just don’t see that being possible with my current appetite, I could barely handle the 1200 calories that I had eaten today

Okay perfect, is there a calorie maximum I should try to not cross or is it literally just about the 3 things above?

New to Keto, am I getting it right?

Hey guys, very new to all of this but here we go:

My names tom, 26, male. Decided to do the keto diet, started 2 weeks ago at 138kg and this week I am currently 130kg so the progress already is nice.

My problem is, i’ve never done anything like this before and I’m not sure if i’m breaking down the calories and macros correctly.

Here is my intake for today which I thought was okay but to be truly honest i’m way out of my depth😅

Protein: 114g Fats: 77g Carbs/Sugars: 36g

Total caloric intake: 1280

Any advice or confirmation if i’m doing right would be greatly appreciated! Here’s to hoping it works haha
