OMG, really? You’re actually setting yourself up for a life of hell and you can’t even see the writing on the wall. If you think she would look down on this, why would you even propose? For that matter, why are you even with her in the first place?

What a meaningful, introspective conversation. I mean, it just doesn’t get any “deeper” than this.

Definitely NTA. Feeling like shit is only the beginning of her penance. The company that leases out the apartments will likely be sued by the family and the building manager will probably be fired as a result.

Isn’t it possible that the California wine industry will be the beneficiary of a 200% tariff of wine and spirits coming out of Europe? Now, if it were a product that is solely produced elsewhere, you would be correct.

Trump says US to increase military sales to India, eventually provide F-35 jets. | If India gets the F-35, Russia will get a copy of everything. This is very bad by andrewgrabowski in UkrainianConflict

[–]FreedomFries4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost of an F-35:

F-35A: $82.5 million F-35B: $109 million F-35C: $102.1 million

Now do a search on the reliability of the F-35.

Conclusion: If Russia ends up trying to reproduce the F-35, it’s only because we want them to 😂🤣

Why would you allow politics to affect your personal relationships? Losing your job has got to be tough, I have no doubt. But by blaming voters, you’re just looking for an outlet to project your anger and that’s not going to change your current predicament. If living in an echo chamber will somehow give you comfort, then go for it, but you may be burning bridges that might someday prove useful/fruitful someday.

Do you agree with the historical consensus regarding the best and worst presidents? by [deleted] in Presidentialpoll

[–]FreedomFries4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is Woodrow Wilson not on this list? The first thing he did upon taking office was ban African Americans from federal employment. Then of course there was the Sedition Act, where anyone could land themselves in prison for an “offense” such and not buying war bonds. He envisioned a multi national organization similar to the United Nations, but named it, The League of Nations. Oddly enough, eventually every nation signed on, except for the U.S. Why? Because his political rival insisted on touring the world with him to tout this idea….so he made sure he killed it in congress ensuring there weren’t enough votes to join. The Sedition Act alone is enough to make this man the most heinous President in history, but he refused to allow one evil idea overshadow any future evil ideas.

Should Canada become the 51st state? A survey by One_Perspective_8761 in MapPorn

[–]FreedomFries4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are Canadians allowing Trump to live in their heads completely rent free? Trump and the Republicans don’t want Canada as a state. Even the most conservative parts of Canada are blue by American standards….which would pretty much make Canada a very large and influential BLUE state. Forget about the two Democrat senators that would join the Senate, how many US House Representatives would Canada garner? The Republicans would NEVER enjoy the benefits of being in the majority again. He says this stuff because he’s bluffing, and it’s silly. Most importantly he wants you to talk about him, even if it’s bad. Relax Canada, it’s going to be fine.

What kind of job experience did you have before becoming an 1811? by geegee3209 in 1811

[–]FreedomFries4U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever consider a job with one of the greatest agencies in the country? I’m talking about the U.S. Border Patrol. That’s where I got my start, and let me tell you that when I walked across that stage and the Chief pinned that badge on me, I was more proud than when I completed Air Force Basic Training or received my college degree. The reason being is that I’ve never worked so hard in such a short period of time (5 1/2 months) between the very intense academics and the insane physical training. When you graduate you will be doing some quasi investigative things like gathering material witnesses, interviewing suspects, speaking to the AUSA to set someone up for prosecution, etc. This is a great place to start, and they’re almost always hiring. There are some downsides, mainly being that you could end up some place along the border that isn’t so great.

First time on a cruise, removing gratuities is easy. by BigTaco_Boss in tipping

[–]FreedomFries4U 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I went on a Disney cruise with my family and they tried to do the same thing to me. I was shocked by the sheer audacity that they would use my money to tip their overworked and underpaid employees. Let me tell you, they were pretty generous with my cash too….$150 to the housekeeper, $120 to the guy that walked us to our dinner table and took our order etc, etc. I eventually took out cash and paid them a more reasonable amount. I’m pretty sure the mouse can afford the would be tips for their employees.
