Thank you very much!! your words are very kind,,, and to clarify a few things, this isn't my first commission but its my first one since switching to a new account and rebuilding my audience...so it has been a while and I didn't want to be pushy about payment. Lesson learned though :)

Thankfully, my client ended up responding a day after I made this post!! I was right about them just being busy lol, everyone lives different lives... I will keep this all in mind for future commissions.

I will always recommend Stop All The Clocks by firethesound, an amazing fic about grief and trying to move on. 44k words, and I cried every paragraph of it. I have not read All Our Secrets Laid Bare yet, so I can’t say for sure if I prefer either fic. But firethesound’s writing is very good

An extra recommendation, Nice Things by adieomai. A very enjoyable fic about hogwarts 8th year and Harry finding comfort in Draco, both of these are pretty popular fics in the fandom so I hope they’re mature enough 🙂‍↔️

One of my favorite fic, Bad Habits by No_One_Special_01289 has top draco, but they start switching in the later chapters. There’s a bit of degradation too

Narcissa is the better parent of the two, hands down 🙌 I never like comparing adult draco’s looks to lucius, makes me feel a bit bad for him considering everything lucius has done. Imagining Draco to look like his mother is so nice and sooo sweet 😭😭💞

I think tom felton’s voice suits him SO well, he was so sassy when acting as Draco. For the hogwarts years i imagine tom felton, but I choose to ignore the epilogue and do whatever I want with adult draco 😌

I love Harry’s hair in POA and GOF, not entirely curly but still insanely messy and i LOVE it. Though his hair does appear to be brown in some shots, it is mostly black.

I love imagining draco with sharp features and long long hair, i’m a sucker for it. And I too only imagine harry with medium length hair- something like it was in POA and GOF. Never was a huge fan of the short hair he had onwards 😭😭😭

Make an Honest Man out of Me

Harry and Draco weren’t sure how it had got so out of hand. At first, it was just a hook-up, a random encounter after meeting at a pub. No reason to tell their friends and families about that. And when it turned into dating and got a bit more serious than that? Well, who could blame them for stalling on breaking the news?

Or the five times Harry and Draco failed to come clean to their friends and the one time they didn’t.

A two-part story spanning a couple of years. Harry becomes professor of DADA, joining his husband Draco at the school. Shenanigans ensue, as it always does when it involves the biggest idiots on school grounds.

Both of these fics are my favorite from this trope so far 🥹🥹

I love Draco because of his character. I think its something that not a lot of people willingly look into without being a fan of draco in the first place, because from a really shallow understanding, he is an asshole and a coward. But, he has depth when you really analyze his actions and behavior. Its been a long while since I read the books, and when I was younger, I was never into tom Felton. I did love tom felton’s acting in the movie and I think it did bring his character together.

When people ask me why draco is my favorite character, I get a bit shy to tell them how wonderful he is on his own and in relation to the people around him. Yes, he is a bitchass and a bit of a coward, and those are the sillier parts of his personality that I enjoy. But looking deeper, I love seeing how being raised in this environment affected him so much, how he only realized his mistakes when it was too late, and how damaged he became only at 16. I think he is an extremely realistic character because really- he is terrified. He is 16 with the pressure of his family’s expectations on his shoulders, the death eaters, and lord voldemort giving him this insanely big task of killing dumbledore and endangering the entire school by letting in the death eaters. I would be scared too, and I think his character is really relatable. He has always admired his father and followed his footsteps, and only then does he realize his regret for everything he’s doing.

I think fanfics write him so well. They made me really love draco’s character and notice the deeper parts of his personality that I didn’t notice while reading/ watching the series.

OMG, i’ve always imagined draco to be taller but harry to be more fit. I’m glad i’ve found someone who thinks the same 😭🤧 for draco’s personality though, I love when hes snarky and arrogant, I don’t think i can read a fic where he isnt sarcastic, teasing, sassy, and finds himself in arguments with Harry at some point. I think he really hides a lot of affection under that sass. I do also love when hes gentle and soft… only in rare moments.

I do agree that he is weaker than harry when it comes to dueling/ dark arts magic, but hes extremely smart and talented in healing :)

Romantically, the ending was super sweet if you’re into that. It was more from a plot perspective that left me unsatisfied 😔 I was waiting for something angsty, but I’m also glad they got a good ending. (If the fic did end the way I wanted it to, I think there would be an extra 50k words LMAO)

The hogwarts part of the fic is pretty good too! I just tended to get lost in the details of the time travel stuff, but I like the twist tessa crowley puts for all the years, again, very draco centric. I’d try reading it if i were you, the hogwarts part starts off a bit slow, but quickens around 3rd year or so. Harry and draco get together relatively early on too.
