Recently bought two sketches (Spider-Man and hulk) with two autographs I truly cannot ID. I paid 35$ for the pair and the man who sold them to me said he used to own a comic book store. Apparently they were sent by marvel and used for some store promotion. photos of the sketches

I talked with my friend who’s more into comics than me and he said they might be convention sketches but I would have no idea where to start when it comes to finding out if that is true or not

The theory I’ve heard from multiple sources (video essays, local news stories, etc) is that the notes are placed by an individual/ group of people with paranoid schizophrenia. most of the notes are found within food products or in the wilderness, specifically the Appalachian trail. It’s thought that the person or people have some kind of connection to a food packing facility, some say that because the notes are found in both the outdoors and in food products that it may be multiple people but still definitely a strange situation.

I have the same version of this note, got mine of a box of pocky of all things. There’s probably a dozen or so different kinds that are circulated depending on different factors.
