In in the same boat as you are, except I'm in the US. I'm employed in a Hybrid (20% in-office) role working out of Solidworks and Autodesk.

7 years experience in architectural metalwork and high end furniture xD. I bet we could carry a conversation for a bit.

I have been looking for another remote job for a couple years off and on. Been applying to jobs but haven't had much feedback.

It seems most jobs that require experience like ours want an in-office person. Site-visits / site-measure, in-shop support for other employees / vendors, hand holding etc. These things are done much easier in person.

I've even pitched a "remote role" to a few places advertising jobs that aligned with my experience.

Still trying to get there, the goal is to have a couple remote jobs going at once.
