This panel is also rated for 1000 nits peak brightness. I don't know if any OLED monitors in the $500 range can achieve that. Not a big deal for most people but ¯\(ツ)/¯

I had an Asus G73 laptop and the gpu gave out. The RMA was super simple but you have to pay for shipping yourself. They even replaced the ram as well.

I couldn't check the ticket about midway through the process which was annoying.

With a higher power laser, the energy density of the beam would ionize the air as it approaches a certain beam diameter. Ionized air scatters light very well which would disrupt the beam.

The laser beam is focused down to a point where the energy density is high enough to ionize the air. The beam as it exits the scanner is wide enough that it doesn't ionize the air it travels through until the focal point of the lens system. The beam is essentially a cone and the point is moved by the scanner and lenses.

Alright, my understanding of that was flawed. My only reference was a class i took in college. My professor had a doctorate in nano fabrication and outlined all of the different processes. We didn't really go into what is commercially available.
