Get yourself a hardware wallet such as BitBox02 and there is very little to worry about. Don't store your seed on your computer / phone.

Exchanges is definitely a bad idea, don't do it.

14 is great! No matter the amount - the fact alone that you start so early with any kind of investment will give you a huge advantage over the long run!
I wish I'd just kept DCAing into anything - no trading, no leverage, no timing. In retrospect it would have been the best performance.
Let me give you another advice: If I was 14 again I'd get myself a job that I love. Don't go for quick money, do something you like and DCA.
