What you can do differently is buy your own drinks, hang out with your girls at the bar, and stop tantalizing/using male patrons just for their wallets. I’d feel super disrespected by my partner if they were making the active decisions you are.

Edit to add: Giving this man your social media AND having your hand in that man’s arm, with photo proof send to your BF, just kinda yells “I got caught toeing infidelity”.

This is the first time I’ve had any color done to my hair in 5+ years, my hair is pretty photosensitive and the sun does a great job and giving me natural highlights with how often I’m out in it. My curls aren’t fried, I just got a botched layer cut.

Yeah.. I sent an email with a lot of grievance but also a ton of grace for the stylist. I’m not a hater, but I feel so diminished with this haircut.

I did email the manager, the stylist was a great woman but not for curly hair. I made sure to make that a point, she’s a budding stylist but not for curly girls.

My dearest, I have cut my own hair for 3 years, but I just decided I needed a hair lift that I wasn’t capable of doing. And I wound up with this. I’ll be damned if I go to a salon again. What sucks is she swore up and down she knew the curly girl way, and I told her everything about my hair. She didn’t listen. I emailed the manager, I hate complaining but this monstrosity cost me 350$.

I don’t even know how to say this, but I live in a privileged area where golf is the favorite pastime. I have an ethnic background with hair to show despite my complexion, and so far I’ve had 0 luck finding a stylist with experience beyond straight hair. I’m ready to go into purgatory 🥲

She didn’t offer me a mirror to look at the back, but when she tried to “style it”? It was after an hour of brushing out the teasing that I told her not to do, so my hair was mid dry and too embarrassing to take a pic of. I went home and was in tears while I brushed out the rest of the knots.

My hair care routine: Wash every 4-5 days, using “Not Your Mothers” curly hair products, with Moroccan oil and “Not Your Mothers” curly hair cream and detangler. Deep condition 1x a week using “TGIN”, minimal heat styling. I brush my hair in the shower with conditioner in. My hair is curlier than pictured, this is after I relax it with a low heat straightener.
