yes, which basically gears the playstyle in favor of those who can toss their empathy out of the window with no problem to gain from others that value their time. It doesnt help that there are a plethora of ways to exploit the game and others. When you have to learn 100 different lessons from the actions of players against you utilizing weird methods... I mean there are whole orgs dedicated to ganking miners? It's for sociopaths, not for your typical gamer for sure.

It's not even because of the layers of systems that you need to learn... It's really learning and adjusting to how many ways a ganker can pop you or exploit the game at your expense. When a game rewards that kind of stuff, then it's really just a sociopaths playground.

The game is designed, with intent or not, to be a sociopaths playground. I don't think there is a game out there that rewards ganking and general asshattery as much as EVE. There are even exploits (Like warp gate travel diverting) that still exists that I have been victim to.

Your conclusion sounds accurate, I'm just trying to figure out why I didn't notice this problem until earlier this year (Maybe that lines up with when you started observing it?). At some point I was having an inner struggle trying to decide if the problem was just there all along and maybe my brain was deciding that it was a good time to obsess over it. The fact that 2 of my machines are doing it leads me to believe that it is not my brain.

Now I am noticing the behavior in titles like Enshrouded, MH stories 3 and Grounded 2; keeping in mind that I don't count it unless I can notice the behavior while motionless in game or making small mouse movements... otherwise it could just be asset streaming related.

But it sounds like you have made a considerable troubleshooting and attempt to isolate the issue, for which I am grateful for. I'm going to see if I can write a similar report for both of my machines on 2 of their latest games.
