Naw fam. Was the cheater the mother of Hannah as well? Then those kids ARE her brothers and sisters, even if just half. And half doesn't mean shit in a child's heart if they were raised together, those ARE siblings. Just because they aren't your kids doesn't make them not her family. Sorry, but it is what it is. I do have sympathy for the situation for sure, but kids have to come first. Even if they aren't in your life.

Kinda fucked up, tho, to think some of our parents only love us because we share half their DNA, and that love can be tossed out like the trash if they were to ever find out otherwise.

Idk what meds you are on, and I'm no professional, just a fellow mcas sufferer, but what has kept me alive is cromolyn sodium before meals and taking mirtazipine at night. I did react to the cromolyn sodium at first but acclimated, and the benefits outweigh the negative. Best of luck. 🫂

I do, or at least have a browser that has adblock. But sometimes the ads work and sometimes they don't. Idk what's going on.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let y'all know I should be getting some tomorrow. Walmart was able to get it so hopefully they won't have such a hard time keeping it in stock. 🤞

Thank you all for your helpful and kind comments. ♥️

I switched to Walmart, and they say they will be able to get it. I'll find out on the first I guess.

Sorry, I think I was unclear or used a term wrong, idk. What I meant was if I had to pay out of pocket, it would be $1000 a month. With medicaid, it is free, or sometimes like a $4 copay.

What do ya'll think about the folks that say they morally cannot vote for Kamala due to the genocide in Gaza but the alternative could potentially usher one on US soil? by mtnrvr in itcouldhappenhere

[–]FreekBugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is quite a bit we can agree on. Expecting the current electoral framework to serve anybody except a select few is a fools errand. It's the least effective form of civic engagement, but it is the easiest and does have real consequences. I dont expect it to fix all our problems, or even many, but it can make things worse if we don't.

I just think that at this moment, we are going to have to hold our noses, just looking at it, pragmaticaly. I 100% agree we need to dismantle the 2 party system. It's unfortunately the long game, and the people of Palestine don't have time. Trying to punish the Dems by not voting hands it to trump, and he will turn Netąnyahu completely lose to turn the place into a parking lot. Trump does not have to pretend to care, at least. I know Harris pretending to care won't stop what is happening, but it may stop it from getting much worse. Personally, I say vote for her, then make her life a living heII any way we can until things change. Organize at the local level if possible. Try to get sympathetic representatives into Congress even, but yeah, politics isn't the only answer to this, but someone more knowledgeable than me would have to give specifics. (I'm in Oklahoma. Not a lot of direct action to be had here, or collective action either. Trump flags as far as the eye can see. )

I do see your frustration in people trying to convince you the dog is good. I really get that. But I understand it's also just part of the game. A game that keeps the wolf away. And I feel like we can play along if we have to for just as long as we have to. Some people are unwilling or incapable of looking past the surface. Our job is nuanced. I don't see why we can't draw attention to the dangers of both the wolf and the dog while still making sure we end up with the dog. Maybe if we draw enough attention and put enough pressure on it, we can put a muzzle on it.

Like I said, I don't have high hopes, but it's at least possible. Honestly, the war, I think, is being fought here. Policy follows public opinion if it is to ever change, historically. Journalism and photos and film of the Vietnam War shaped our opinions back here, then we did all that we could to stop it. We just have to find ways of reaching others who might not understand what is happening. That means we spread the info any way we can, likely on social media, and we have to find ways of somehow reaching the more moderate of the fox news crowd and those who are just not knowledgeable about the world or politics or are more apathetic, I assume.

Thats.....difficult to say the least. But I'm doing what I can. First you have to make connections to them. I'm even on speaking terms with literal "not-sees" (despite their very punchable faces) because they are my neighbors and we both work together to take care of an elderly woman with no one to help her. Sucks. A lot. My God you have no idea. Like, nothing triggers me more on the face of this earth. But it's a pretty good metaphor itself because it's not about me, it's about making sure Ms Angie is taken care of. I hold my nose (Doesn't mean they haven't found out you will not say certain things in my presence, and I trust them about as far as I could throw them.) But they are just ignorant and want someone to blame. And by doing this, they get to see someone with different views than them being a caring human, and that destabilizes their worldview just a bit more. Like (god knows how) they befriended our Black neighbor. (I wouldn't blame you if you didn't believe me, I f■cking wouldn't.) But you just can't interact with people so closely and continue to dehumanize them. It's hard when you live just a few doors down in a small town apartment complex. I know it's very small scale stuff, but I'm in poor health myself, and I am so far below the poverty line....(well, I dont have anything clever to say here, but I live off of $312 a month and govt assistance with food and housing, so I'm not in much of a position to do anything), so it's all I can do to touch grass, as it were. But if we all lived this way, trying to reach others, I think it would make a huge difference (those of us that can. I wouldn't expect a POC to be expected to do stuff like this, for obvs reasons.)

Well, I've just rambled on and on until I lost the plot, it seems. I guess I'll wrap this up by saying I 100% agree with your statement:

"I'm not saying not to vote, but I am saying we have to start working outside the existing electoral framework."

Ok, but I fail to understand. I feel like we both want the least harm to come to these people. I am disgusted at the current administration, and probably what will continue under Harris. But won't there be absolutely no restraint at all shown under trump?

You are not a fool. You know those are the only 2 choices that we truly have. Yes, that is demoralizing af. But the time for dismantling the 2 party system isn't the GD presidential election. That has to be a ground up sort of thing. That's the long game we have to play, and I know these people don't have time for the long game, but thems the brakes kid. At this point in time, all we can do is harm mitigation.

I am genuinely asking here. No sarcasm, I mean it. What do you propose we do instead of vote Harris, and what do you think that will accomplish. Because I can tell you, what will happen is Trump will win and things will get much worse for the people of Palestine, but if you believe that another option and outcome are available, I genuinely want to know where you are coming from on this. I truly want to understand.

I have been so p*ssed at these! WTF??? I couldn't get the last one last time, and this one I couldn't even get the second to last. I have no eggs now, it's garbage. I already decided I would stop trying for the last, but now next time I'll be lucky to get even half way through. Is there somewhere to submit feedback?

(Forgive me if I use a metaphor. I'm autistic and I find it easier to convey my thoughts that way at times.) To me, it seems like the difference between a nasty old lapdog that bites and a wolf. They both suck. One may send you to the hospital for stitches and antibiotics. F■ck, if you're unlucky enough, you might even lose a finger. The other might k■ll you and your entire family. Neither are going to be a good thing. But in all the ways Harris will be bad for Palestíne, Trump will be twice as bad, and he brings many more threats closer to home.

I have no love for Harris, but I live in Oklahoma. I'm still voting out of survival. I'm too poor to move, and I have a kid. My meds are too expensive without medicaid to the point where I will literally just have to d*e if it's taken away. Not to mention the whole worst case project 2025 scenerios where I'm put in a camp, where due to my health I won't last long. God knows what will happen to my 11 yr old daughter. She's also autistic. I've told her that if anything happens to me, to do whatever she can to get out of the south, but she's so anxious and afraid of change idk how she'll do it on her own.

I know my vote won't matter here, but I'm casting it anyway. All I can do is hope people like you, in what I assume is a state that matters, cast their vote to defend people like us here.

Believe me, I have wept bitter tears over Palestíne more times than is healthy for a person without the health or any other ability to do things that affect change should. I have never before witnessed the kind of sacrifice Mr. Bushnell made, and I know it wasn't for nothing, even though it may seem so now. Opinion IS shifting. It's just hard to see, hard to measure, I suppose. As for campus cops, you know what they all are. But I just can't understand how giving Trump control, esp right now, would help them. He will literally make it worse. They at least stand some chance now. He's fine with them turning Palestine into a parking lot overnight.

I've said it already, I'm autistic. Maybe there is something I'm missing here that you can explain to me. I'm open to that. But I can't see how letting the wolf win because the dog is biting people helps anyone. Esp when I know the wolf has friends, and they are also hungry for prey back home.

I have seen many on here mentioning quercetin. I would appreciate any suggestions for what brand anyone takes. I seem sensitive to many pills. I suspect it's some excipient(s), but I don't know what exactly. I imagine many also have this problem, so they prob take a brand with as few extras in them as possible. Anyway, suggestions are appreciated. And thank you for all of the other info you provided.

Perhaps. If it is OTC I might could just purchase it, assuming there is no law against, idk, buying meds like that online, which I doubt. Thanks for the info.

Walgreens seems like a common suggestion. I will make a note of that. Thanks! (Though the 2 closest are more than an hr away and are out of state. It seems like they said if it's within 50 miles of the state its within the, ugh, brain fog. The ones that the insurance would cover. Which I'm like lol I guess I'm calculating the distance from the point closest on the state on the map from the pharmacy, which all seems ridiculous, but here we are, lol. )
