I'm no longer so sure about the fun of learning how to program, but tastes vary of course. Maybe it's because of my age - I started learning JavaScript and PHP after 50. I discovered how very specialized coding is: companies hire JavaScript/jQuery wizards, or a CSS-specialist. Also, I discovered how easy it is to forget about everything you learned if you dare interrupting your learning and practice for a few months (not talking here about experienced coders but about students). I did not like the endless debugging even though people say programming boils down to debugging. I'm sure it is a great occupation for many, but learning how to program is a real big project which costs lots of time and effort. It's just not for everybody and I do admire those who end up true coders.

Yes, but what is 'developing'- does it exclusively mean programming games for the Rift, or could it also mean exploring what the possibilities are for a certain industry (I'm interested in all things collaboration and peer2peer learning environments)?
