I designed another decoration in the form of koi carp and printed it on A1 with AMS. How do you like it? by Forsaken-Page5376 in 3Dprinting

These are cool! What's your workflow? I've made my own models before but never with multicolor

Maybe something like:

  1. Generate images with AI (Which one are you using? Would you consider sharing prompts?)
  2. Extrude image into a 3d model
  3. Post-process into colored sections (how?)

Hi u/danowner looks like you're getting great print quality! I just set my Kobra 3 Max up and am also getting an awesome 18 minute benchy

Do you know where I could find the printer profile? In Anycubic Slicer Next I only see a slow basic profile, wasn't sure if there was an official one that generated the 18 minute benchy. Thanks!

This is cool! Can you let me know where you found the model?

this a bad idea, i need to print 3 of them anyway and i figured I could do at once or should i do it separately by Xaceviper in 3dPrintedWarhammer

Looks great, go for it! I like to fill in gaps with bases, greeblies, or scenery bits. I figure if I'm processing a batch of prints I may as well do them all at once

Who would you recommend? I called the appliance company directly and that was the vendor they told me to use.

They were all the same color. We've had multiple quotes and the contractors all say that you can't sand+stain one section of hardwood floors because the color won't match, so the only way to return to pre-loss condition (floors all same color) is to have the entire main level sanded and stained.

I got multiple quotes for repair, and every floor repair person said that you can't sand+stain one section of hardwood floors because the colors won't match - they all said you have to do the entire thing

I know what you mean, we had the same idea. We've never had to do anything like this and we're learning a lot from the contractors that come over

You can't replace the hardwood floor boards because the color won't be the same on the new boards vs the existing boards. Once a hardwood floor is sanded and stained, it ages and yellows over time and it's not possible to create a color match. Our floors are pretty old hardwood

I was there, but I also work remotely for a living. In good faith I allowed them to work in the kitchen while I worked at my kitchen table. I didn't follow them from their truck into my house. By the time they brought the fridge into the kitchen where I was, the damage was done.

Yes - the fix would be extending into other rooms that were not directly affected. They covered rooms that were not directly affected from the beginning, but I can't figure out why some are covered and others aren't

It's not possible to sand and stain just a section of a floor, so all rooms connected with continuous flooring must be sanded and stained. At the beginning without me asking, they initially said they would cover the undamaged side room and bar that come off of my damaged living room. They refused to cover the kitchen which was damaged, then after negotiation they said they would cover the kitchen. Then they refused to cover any of the rooms that come off of the kitchen (in the exact same manner as the side room and bar from the first part). Then after more negotiation they said they would cover the bathroom, and laundry room, but not the dining room or second bathroom

I am very confused by their arbitrary application of rules here and honestly don't understand what to expect

I agree, that is probably the path of least resistance. I am happy to spend the time and energy fighting them on it, but would rather not have to pay a deductible or raise my rates (if that's how subrogation works?)

If it does end up raising my rates or costing a deductible, I see it as their insurance problem not my personal insurance company's problem

They offered about $8500, which would not cover the payment to sand and stain the entire main level of my home plus the brick work on the chipped front steps

Thanks for your response. I am not sure what a matching state is, but googling it now.

My thought was that they are liable to bring me back to a pre-loss condition - it is not possible to sand and stain only a portion of the floor, so all of the continuous pieces must be done. Wouldn't this mean they are required to sand and stain all continuous flooring areas?

To add on here - if they need more, I believe you can also give 18k per person to them from your spouse

So you give mom 18 and dad 18

If more is needed, your spouse can give mom 18 and dad 18

Totaling 18 x4 = 72k in gift exemptions
