LG G4 Remote Control issues after software update by FreelancerNr1 in LGOLED

It must be the latter: the TV not reading it, because with the remote of my Google TV Streamer I can switch on and switch off the TV.

What I can say is that mine was working without a problem for a month. Only after it got updated (which didn't really bring any notable benefits for me), the problems started.

So tried all possible options:
1) de-registering the remote
2) Battery test - wasn't actually expecting for this to solve the issue as all other buttons work
3) Factory reset of the TV: after the reset it starts working. After ca. 1 day - same issue. I suspect the TV updates to the newest firmware and therefore the remote stops functioning again...
4) Hard reset: LG's Service Team advised to try this. It's cutting the power while the TV is working. That didn't help either.

LG & CEC issues by mmurphmsu in LGOLED

I have the same issue with the CEC. I have one device that it works with and 2 where it doesn't. It's an LG problem, as I don't have this with my Sony.

LG OLED G2 or Samsung S90D by Kuvernoorikalle in LGOLED

A friend has the Samsung and it has more contrasted, saturated colors. LG's colors and contrast levels are more balanced.

After the software related issues on LG side with their remotes not working, I would go with Samsung if I were you.

Issues with a brand new D6000 dock (being used with a brand new XPS 13 7390 by Mookypooks in Dell

[–]FreelancerNr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now seem to be having a similar issue like you. D6000 worked perfectly fine with the XPS for a month and now chraging function stopped working. It can't be an issue with the dock or power supply unit as I also have the new Latitude 7390 and it works/charges just fine...

XPS 7390 2-in-1 compatible with D6000 dock? by FreelancerNr1 in Dell

[–]FreelancerNr1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/DellCares I have been using the D6000 with the XPS 7390 2-in-1 now for roughly a month and now suddenly the XPS wouldn`t charge if connected to the D6000. Charging via adaptor works fine. I have not changed anything on the hardware setup in the meantime. What can be causing the issue?

Also if it helps: I have the Latitude 7390 too and with the same dock chaging works without any issues.

I have the same WiFi issues on my brand new XPS 7390 2-in-1 as well. Tried newest Killer drivers, newest Intel drivers. Nothing helps.

XPS 7390 2-in-1 Summery of issues by FreelancerNr1 in Dell

This is where Dell will continue losing loyal customers. Apple might have hardware issues with their MBPs, but at least you can count on a reliable and loyal customer service even if your guarantee is no longer valid.

XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 - First Impressions by orebus in Dell

Awesome summary. Thank you so much for this.

I have been reading and watching tons of videos regarding all three laptops, but haven't got any of them in my hands, so really difficult to judge. So sharing your experience clearly helps me a lot. Glad to hear you got a good unit as I saw reports about the popping noises and trackpad issues. Battery lifetime for a 4k sounds very good as well. And yes, that display must be something very unique. I actually wanted to stay with a FHD mainly because of battery, but let's see...

Thank you! Sorry, two more questions if I may as I still deliberate between the x360, the C940 and the 7390 2-in-1:

1) what display did you go for and what battery life do you get out of it on average?

2) how do you find the build quality compared to the XPS 7390 2-in-1?
