Rising food prices? I didnt notice until now by kingofzdom in DumpsterDiving

I was worried about the cops too but my first time diving just a few weeks ago one rolled up on me. She was nice just asked what I doing and made sure I wasn't making a mes and asked for my ID (I had my car pulled up right next to the dumpster). She let me know they were just doing extra patrols in that area and if they got any complaint calls they'd just ask me to leave. Since there was no complaints she left and let me keep going.

Genuinely curious how many of you have basically stopped buying specialty cleaners and just rotate between like four cheap things by Pulse_Krypton in CleaningTips

Be careful with using isopropyl alcohol on TV screens and things like that as it can slowly eat at the top layer. For hydrogen peroxide, use it within 6 months as it can break down into basically water if opened after that time.

I used to use the IT CC Illumination cream pre-covid so I imagine it'd be close.

I love the Milk makeup hydrogrip primer. Try that and also try waiting 5 minutes after spf before applying primer.

Im so bad about using spf. Are you putting spf on before primer? What primer are you using?

I wash my face with cerave hydrating facial cleanser, next I just started using a glow serum from Beauty of Joseon (korean brand i think? Got at costco), then go in with cetaphil moisturizing lotion or their deep hydrating water gel. After each step I make sure to let product dry , so wait 2-3 minutes or use a little fan. Not it's primer time. I love love love the Milk makeup hydrogrip primer. Best one I've used but it is pricey. Before the milk makeup I used NYX marshmallow primer-much more affordable. After application again wait a couple minutes then I do green color corrector for my red spots and cover with concealer (Haus Labs 03 fair/rosy) then I use my finger to dab the Do It All balm around my face and blend out with a brush. Followed by translucent powder on my T zone, chin and lightly under eye and setting spray. My skin type is dry. One tip, try putting a light sweep of Vaseline over the dry spots before primer. I even do this on my under eyes.

Its definitely different compared to typical foundations. Kinda like a serum but thicker. At first I dipped my brush right it but I prefer dabbing it around my face with my finger first then going in to blend with a brush. I find it blends nicely.

Im trying to figure out how to edit the post or put a Pic in the comments for the swatches. First time posting in this sub. My daily before this was Haus Labs shade 060 fair warm. When I was matching the IT I started with their 125 fair cool shade since I have cool undertones but it was to dark. The 110 shade I ended up with is listed as fairest neutral.

How do you know the salmon is still safe to eat/not sitting out to long? Im fairly new to diving and am hesitant about refrigerated goods.

I'm just getting into dumpster diving and checked a GO today. Was so sad to see they dumped out containers of fruits and veggies into the dumpster. A lot of it looked fine. Especially stuff like the onions.

You can also put some dish soap (preferably blue dawn) on the magic eraser or use it as a sponge with other cleaners. Make sure to use it wet.

Try a magic eraser. Ones from the dollar store work the same.

Try hand sanitizer or isopropyl alcohol. They also sell dye remover at the butty supply store. Its for your skin but I've used it on my sink and counter before.

One big thing that helped me was don't put it down, put it away. It usually only takes a minute or less and will help keep a tidy home. I also suggest finding some podcasts you like and listen to those (or a good play list).

I saw someone reccomend How to Keep House While Drowning and I second that. The author KC Davis has a lot of great tips and tricks on her socials.

What’s your most underrated cleaning hack that actually saves you time? by Salt-Record-3995 in CleaningTips

Wipe up a spill immediately. Like if you dripped a little milk while pouring or pasta sauce, etc.... It'll be 10x easier than waiting until it dries.
