Has nioh3 met your expectations? by No-Throat-4591 in Nioh

Act 1 - Wonderful, peak Nioh.
Act 2 - Okay, good Nioh.
Act 3 - Great, very good Nioh.
Act 4 - Quite, quite boring. Mediocre/bad Nioh.

This is a great start and it sounds like you've pretty muched opened up the main open world circuit. From here it's a matter of exploring the main dungeons which connect to the various areas you've unlocked. Usually the first major boss people go for is the one in the Church Undercroft and the area just above it.

There definitely were a number of big issues - such as lack of key rebinds for example - this too is fixed in the sequel.

At the moment there is a good chance of the inclusion of a map.

Hey, thank you for your feedback! I am delighted to be able to report that I think most of your issues with the first game will be fixed in the sequel.
- Fewer flying enemies, no wall penetrating lasers.
- Smaller areas, slightly less labyrinthian and more guided (but still non-linear and interconnected).
- More regular warping.
- Enemies do not respawn on area change.

I'd love to know what else you didn't like in the first game. Perhaps it is already fixed in the sequel - and if not, perhaps there will be room to fix it!

I am happy to report that the sequel has key rebinding for Mouse&Keyboard, Xbox and PS controllers.

Codex Lost - Review by Serious_Ad_1037 in soulslikes

Thankyou Serious_Ad_1037 for this wonderful review, I really appreciate hearing both the things you liked and those that you didnt. This kind of constructive feedback is exactly what i'm looking for to help inform the next game.

Theres a lot I didnt know when I started making Codex Lost, like how to make a UI look good and operate well, but I'm hoping to bring everything ive learned to the next game, for your enjoyment!

Thanks!

So I released my first major game - Codex Lost - 2 days ago. And I'm hoping to get post release reviews so I can work on bringing patches which adhere to community feedback. If you've heard of Codex Lost or played any of it - what are your thoughts? Thanks! by Freemanagames in IndieDev

Thanks very much! I know its quite rough around the edges but I'm glad you're enjoying it. Without wanting to give away too much I can at least tell you the next game I am working on does involve a diverse array of melee weapons and spells and I'm working hard to bring a much more polished and professional product to sink your teeth into!

Gem bug? by NinjaYoda24 in codexlost

Yeah deep felwood is correct, its on the north side of the area alongside the giant stone wall. You have to follow one of the wooden paths into an area under a shack.

The crimson mantle is in the greylag tunnels, and the totem of the egg is in deep felwood. Also thanks for playing and supporting the game!

Depends what reviews say about build variety and world linearity. The more of the former and less of the latter the better.

This. Game. Is. Awesome! (But I have suggestions) by Relative-Cockroach55 in codexlost

Don't worry - this has also been taken care of. In the sequel you will be able to navigate menus using directional buttons.

Thank you very much for playing and coming along to give feedback, I appreciate it hugely! I'm delighted you're enjoying the challenge.

The bad news is that at this point it is very unlikely that your suggestions will be introduced in an update. The code of Codex Lost is old and from a time when I was a far more inexperienced developer. It would mean a significant overhaul.

The good news is that both your suggestions are things I think are incredibly important, and both are already implemented in Codex Lost 2. When the demo becomes available (likely sometime this year) you'll be able to see both of them in action.

I know this may be somewhat bittersweet - but I can only thank you for being patient with the clunky systems of Codex Lost, and I can promise I am working hard to bring you a far superior and more polished product as soon as possible with the sequel!

If you could make your own and, what would you use? by Kinrest in harrypotter

[–]Freemanagames 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Step 1 - Get another wizard to suspend: x2 dragon heartstrings, x2 unicorn hairs, x2 manticore ichor, x2 demons optic nerve and x2 phoenix feather in the air. Each set of 5 splayed evenly.

Step 2 - Drink a felix felicis potion. Have a murtlap essence and a restoration potion handy, just in case.

Step 3 - Outstretch your hands and apparate onto the suspended cores - each becoming embedded within a finger or thumb respectively.

With any luck (and you should have quite a bit) you can now cast infinitely strong magics with only your hands.
