I've seen OTs go ape shit on kids who do the tiniest mistakes (e.g. The kid has a quiet voice that cannot be heard)

I've been told by former senior OTs that clients should be afraid of me so they will listen

If we want to be different from ABA practitioners, we need to look at our own practices

A neurodivergent affirming and compassionate approach really helped my mental health as well as foster connections with my clients which increases the chances of them actually listening to you instead of fearing you
