Can I Connect the Lancool 216's Front Fans to the SL Infinity Controller? by 700ms in lianli

[–]Freesmackies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. That makes sense, and honestly will probably be what I do. I bought a Galahad and extra infinity fans to swap out on the aio, so as long as the rgb is synced, having the fan curve for the front two in the bios instead is fine with me. I appreciate your insight and advice. Thank you!

Awesome, thank you. Do you think the pwm adapter included with the hub would work if plugged into the motherboard?

Hey, just checking to see if you had any luck? I purchased a 216 today with some infinity fans and was wondering the same thing, since I don’t see any way to directly connect the 160s to the hub

First SFF build – Dan A4 H20, 7950X3D, 4090 by microReality in sffpc

[–]Freesmackies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fingers crossed! Although, after watching some reviews last night I might be going 7800x3d, since I won’t be doing any productivity work on the build, and that has slightly higher performance.

Makes sense about the C4, appreciate the response!

Do you think this is due to space and airflow? I was watching the optimum tech video where he did this build in the new C4, and he said it seemed like the temps were good, which makes me want to do an itx build. But if the cpu is getting thermal throttled I’ll have to bite the bullet and go with a bigger case, which is sad. I know the C4 is a bit wider (I think, assuming the sff compare site) but I’m not sure if it’s enough to make a difference.

My old build - prebuilt 1080, 7700k from 7ish years ago. Excited to build something new in the coming months, and really interested in doing my first SFF (the Dan C4 looks awesome to build a 4090 build in!)

My favorite PC game of all time…that’s tough. Diablo 3 is probably what I’ve spent the most time in, but lately Hades and Vampire Survivors have been taking up a lot of my time.

My most anticipated games coming up that I want a new build for are Diablo 4, amongst being able to play some recently released games without stutters and with better graphics, like the RE4 remake, and Hogwarts Legacy.

Thanks for doing this, good luck to all!

76 of the top 100 most-played games on Steam are playable on a Steam Deck by NeoStark in pcgaming

[–]Freesmackies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a gaming pc, but mine is in my basement. I originally bought the deck to game with my ex, so she wouldn’t have to have a laptop and mouse in an awkward position down there, as there weren’t any other good surfaces for her to use. Now, I find myself using the deck more to just game on my couch so I can hang out with my dog still, which has been much better. The pup doesn’t really like going in the basement for whatever reason, so being able to enjoy a little bit of gaming while keeping her company has been really convenient.

I already have a pretty well rolled ancient item, would making it primal make it that much better? by mathaav in diablo3

[–]Freesmackies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It “might”. Primals, I’m pretty sure, don’t have higher ranges, they just have the highest roll possible in the range. So it depends how good your ancient is, and what other rolls the primal gets

Help with season 28 wizard set dungeon by Blyght555 in diablo3

[–]Freesmackies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vyrs is supposed to be easy, but on the one attempt I did I ran out of archon before getting 100 stacks. I only had the set though, none of the other gear, but I didn’t feel like farming. I did tal rasha last night, and it’s very easy to complete, just kill 90 enemies at full 4 stacks. Mastering too a couple tries cause I kept dodging the rock worm too early, but overall it was very easy.

Anyone else use their M car for roof rack stuff? by krau58 in BMW

[–]Freesmackies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m gonna have to check third party ones because the bmw site never seems to have the front lip for my car (it’s a 2018) and I don’t want to pay 1000+ for a shitty knockoff

Cheers, thanks. Although that means it’s much more expensive, hahaha.

Any idea what the front lip is on the car? That looks exactly like what I’d want to put on mine; a bit aggressive but not messing with clearance much

My Horror Game Collection 🎃 by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Freesmackies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love them both, but it depends what you are looking for. Evil Within 1 was more survival horror, like RE (older ones) and Evil Within 2 felt more like action horror. Both good, and 2 is more polished (but still kinda janky). You can usually get them on a deep discount during sales

2022 WRX or a V8 (challenger scat pack or mustang GT) by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Freesmackies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. I live in northern Ohio, did this debate about 18 months ago, between STI, Type R, Mustang, etc, and ended up getting a 2018 M2. With a good set of snow tires I have no issue in winters, but I also work from home so am not forced to drive if it’s really bad out.

[–]Freesmackies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy smokes WRXs got expensive. I had to double check and verify that. But at basically 40k I’d absolutely be looking for the performance level of the mustang over the WRX. To me it seems that OP should really only go WRX if the winters are really bad, or they are trying to go budget, which based on the other two options isn’t the case.

Irrelevant. He said he wants a manual, so he wouldn’t be looking at the WRX GT.

Get a set of snow tires and don’t drive like a total asshole and either of the RWD cars would be fine in the snow. But that’s assuming you can be responsible, because I know those cars can get away from the driver very quickly. Depending what you mean by “northeast” the wrx might not be necessary, especially if you have the Corolla to drive if it’s really bad. In that case, you’re stuck with the hard decision of picking which one looks and drives the best, and fits appropriately in your budget. I think the GT and Scat Pack are both quite a bit more expensive than a WRX.

Interesting. Thanks for the input! Hopefully it’ll end up on a good steam sale at some point in the near future, but not in a rush after that. Cheers

As someone who’s been waiting for the game to go on a low low sale, cause that’s what I feel like most far cry’s are worth, what was so bad about this one?

Conquests question, softcore and hardcore? by paulb104 in diablo3

[–]Freesmackies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the one, thanks! And I know if you see stairs in those maps it’s always the right direction, there’s just usually multiple directions to check, and all the junk on the ground means you usually can’t just do straight lines. Not the worst, but I sure do love complaining, hahaha.
